Ok, well problem solved. Turns out, it needed a “long” time to boot. I had tried about 15 minutes before, but this time I left it for 30 and to my surprise it booted up. When I opened up Supersu, it had a message about mounting namespace separation not being supported by all devices. So I’ve unchecked it, and now it boots normally again.
I never checked it, but I did install apps2SD and considered using it to try and move some apps to the SD card (off topic but for some reason the Teclast stripped this out… why??). Even just launching it apparently makes the modification. The app needs to be able to span sd cards so I can see why it would want to make the change, but not before I tell it to… I didn’t anything with the program except look around.
So let this be a word of warning unless anyone wants to try apps2Sd on the Teclast. Because I’m a sucker for punishment (and because I realllly want more than 10gb for my apps), I’m going to cautiously try again when my SD card arrives tomorrow…
November 18, 2015 at 1:33 am #16024Hi Lucas!
Hi you all!
Just for you to know…I´m exactly in the same situation
X98 Pro, K9C6, Bios 1.05, Windows workin perfectly, evenWiFi…
…but…
Android boot doesn´t work. It get freeze at Intel Logo…and there is no way to get into Android!
I waited for around 15 min…an nothing…
SOME HELP PLEASE?
Thanks
November 18, 2015 at 1:43 am #16025Try waiting at least 30-60 minutes. That’s what it took for me.
This tablet is no more than an occasional interesting toy for me. Android constantly crashes (usually boots right back up, but still) and battery life is absurd. I know Chris and some other say they get 4 or 5 hours, but I can’t even get 2 on this thing (either Android or Windows).
November 18, 2015 at 2:05 am #16026Aha…I understand!
I´ll try during all the morning…and let´s see!
My battery liffe is around 4-5 hours too!
And…yes, it is like a toy to me till I understand is going to work well! Then..It could be useful with the windows side. But meanwhile…i cannot take risks!
As I said..I´ll try all the morning and let´s see how much time it takes. I´ll tell you at the end of the day, ok?
Just one question…Could I try to boot Android connected to the USB power, to give it an extra time to reboot? Just tell me your opinion!
THANKS
Daniel
November 18, 2015 at 7:17 am #16030I’d give it a good 30 minutes minimum. If you have enough batter you don’t have to plug it in but it couldn’t hurt…
For me it would get stuck around the time I rooted it. It happened twice but hasn’t happened again in awhile. Now it simply crashes all the time then reboots in the standard amount of time…
November 19, 2015 at 12:36 am #16075Hi again Jason, and thanks for your advices
Yesterday I tried several times
First one, X98Pro plugged in to the USB port of my PC, turned on, boot into Android part, stucked at Intel Logo…till battery was drained
Second one, charged the X98Pro at home with the original Charger and turned on again into Android during all the night…nothing
Third…I´m trying again!…but doesn´t seem to workIf there is any idea, please, tell me
By the way…Windows boot works correctly. Now I´m working on it.
I had a strange situation between first and second attempt. The X98Pro, started to boot into Bios in a loop. There was no way to change that. After 7-8 times, touching different combinations of Vol button+Power…it started into dual, and then again, stacked into Android or working correctly with Windows
It is a pity…this tablet is not that bad! But it is really unstable…
Any idea is very welcomed…HOW TO RESTORE THE ANDROID PART? (without loosing windows…)
Thanks Jason
Daniel
