When I got my tablet, everything worked good, except Windows was setup with an account name of “r”. (Also Windows update wasnt working)
I tried doing a reset as it wouldnt let me change “r” to anything else.
However, the reset failed and now it wont boot into Windows(no error just loads forever then turns off), it will only boot to Android.
I like having both, however I dont know what to do to get Windows back again.
Thanks,
Jon
April 30, 2016 at 9:57 pm #35671There is a guide to reinstall windows on this site. I had a similar issues and the guide and downloads also on this site would not work. I bought mine from geekbuying and they sent me a link to a backup image of the complete device. I got Android flashed with no problems but could not get Windows to install. I bought a USB mouse, keyboard and and dock with four USB terminals and two USB sticks to do the install and I got farther with there method than the one on this site. Ultimately I had to send the tablet back to geekbuying. Not happy at all. The tablet seems rather unstable in both hardware and software. It’s a shame too because the build quality, screen, and specs were really good for the price. We will see if geekbuying will refund my money. Originally I asked them to fix it but then I decided to just get a refund because what happens if I need to update or reset the tablet in the future and the same thing happens. I really liked the tablet overall but the software integration was really bad.
I really hope you can resolve your issue. If not I could post a link to the geekbuying recovery files. I am not sure if I am allowed to do so. Maybe send me a message and any moderator reading this please let me know if I can post a link from Geekbuying blog.
Good luck!
Robert
May 17, 2016 at 10:14 pm #37764Yea, they were able to get the files to me that included the Windows 10 files and Android.
I was able to flash the device successfully, however just uses Android, Windows isnt an option at startup, it only lists Android.
I have the files, I’m just not sure how to get them in there to mix with Android.
