    While the X98 and the Zenpad share the same CPU, they have completely different GPUs.
    The X98 has an Intel GPU, while the Zenpad and Zenphone 2 have a Power VR GPU.
    This means Zenpad/phone images are not compatible with the X98,, unfortunately.

    Besides you wouldn’t want all that Asus bloatware. The pack them full of so much rubbish.

    Ah – Damned! Didn’t spot that (the difference in GPU).

    …and of course, a de-bloat would have been necessary, even if some Asus specific apps really are quite good (imo), and I’ve grown accustomed to, on my Zenfone.

    Well, anyway, I can see it was just a pipe dream – Back to the drawing board…
