Please mate, can you come and have a look at this problem please.. Here I have solved a temp solution. Also We cannot enter DNX Mode on the V919 3G Air V6. We have tried everything. HERE  HERE I am not a code writer, only sust problems and try and make solutions. Im sorry to thow everything at ya lol.. We need input please..

Apologies if I’m asking a really basic, stupid question but:

How do I know if the flashing worked?  Is there some way of telling in the Android OS?

I went through the process and Mirek’s Flash tool seemed to suggest everything went okay.

However, when it boots up into Android for the first time, the look and feel is like the stock rom – in Chinese, with all the old apps installed – as if it’s been factory reset.

I was (perhaps wrongly) expecting it to look more like the screenshots on the first page – Apex launcher, etc.

So if you can tell me if there’s a basic way of checking in android that the flash worked, that would be great.

 

 

EDIT – please ignore the above – clearly I was misreading the log of what was going on.

When I had the files in the right places, it worked.

 

Things people need to keep in mind when doing this:

1. Don’t skip the steps about installing the USB drivers – your PC has to detect that an Android device is connected (even if it’s not sure what the device is) in order for the FLASHER to locate the device.
2. When you’re ready to begin, open Android first and reboot it .  Then go into DnX mode (holding down both volume keys + power key as it reboots) otherwise your computer may not properly detect the device.  For me, sometimes that caused the tablet to shut down completely.  Don’t worry about this, just boot into DnX mode as described above and the PC should pick up the Android device in device manager as required.
3. The FLASHER bat file needs to be at the same level as the rom and data directories (I was trying to follow earlier posts about sticking them all in the same folder – didn’t work).  So for me, on my desktop was the FLASHER bat file, the rom folder and the data folder.
4. The Log of what’s happening can be a bit confusing because it can say things like Error: cannot load ‘rom/system.img’: No error then says ‘***SYSTEM FLASHED***’ – I was reading this to mean there were no problems but clearly there were.  Once I had the bat file and the folders in the right places relative to each other, it all worked.   Basically, it took about 3 -4 minutes end to end – if it’s only taking a matter of 30-40 seconds, some steps aren’t happening.

 

Hope this helps anyone else who wants to try this.

Agreed – I have been using it for a few days now and it’s a great rom – finally my android tablet, which is the reason I got it, feels functional and I feel like I’m finally getting the performance I expected given the hardware specs.

You mean that onda does not have DnX mode ?

How you flash a new  firmware there ?

I also was moving to the new apartament , was sick at the same time … to much to say  anyway 🙂

I’d love to try Remix on this tablet and was wondering if your flash tool would work if I loaded the remix system.img file from the Teclast X98 Air Remix rom.

Does anybody know if this works with windows 10? my tablet woudn´t be recognized at dnx mode. With android there is everything ok, but i cannot flash it if windows wouldn´t detect it in dnx mode.

This doesn’t work, I tried it awhile ago, we need to use the Remix for PC and replace the windows installation, But no one got it working without using an external monitor for it yet..

Yeah it works fine on W10, make sure to have all the correct drivers installed, and make sure its the “correct” DNX mode, needs to be done after shutting down from android, it will be more left justified, if you get it and the text is centered, its not going to work
