Thank you very much, pierre, after I posted that, the links started working again, so I could download the ROM.

 

My tablet arrived yesterday, so I´m telling my first impressions:

After a few tests, I procceded to flash it.

• First, Installed  ADB_drivers from ROM package in my PC
• Second, Installed Intel_ADB_ drivers in my PC, not the ones from package but the new ones from intel (v1.10)
• Tried to put the tablet into Fastboot mode but failed, because last OS used was Windows. Changed to Android, turned tablet off from android and succesfully entered into Fastboot mode (Someone said you can enable Fastboot directly from UEFI)
• Connected the USB and the tablet was perfectly recognized by my PC. No yellow exclamations on device manager.
• Started Mirek´s flash tool and everything was smooth. Perfect flash. It took a long time of course. Used Clean Install with no partitioning.

The ROM is perfect, I had no problems with apps or configuration, except today I had a black screen, after turning off and on the screen with the ON/OFF button, when wake up, the black screen appeared with some colored lines on the top of the screen. Had to reboot.

 

After that, no one other problem with Android. Thanks, Mirek, your work is awesome, compared to the original Teclast ROM, wich is absolutely bloated with chinese apps and very obscure things. That ROM is scary, really.

 

Another thing I want to draw attention to, even if this thread is about the Android side of the tablet, is about an obscure archives and registry changes in the tablet Windows install. They were indentified as Trojans.

I installed in Windows the Malwarebytes scan tool, and after a fast search it found two archives: one called “link.bat” archive and other called “reg.reg”, both located in the System32 folder. The .bat pointed to the deletion of two strange executable (.exe) files located in the desktop, (the files didn´t existed, though, maybe they were deleted before I found them, and I let Malwarebytes delete the .bat, so I don´t remember the name of the executables.)
The .reg file made some unidentifiable changes in the registry.

Apart from that, Malwarebytes found a change made to the start page and default page of Internet Explorer linking to chinese sites.

Malwarebytes is free to scan, if someone want to test this himself. I purchased the tablet in Banggood store, if someone is concerned about this issue.

I had the same issue two times, probleme to power on or off the tablett with black screen, i don’t know how to resolve this issue, but it’s happend two times only. For the malware i found two, with malware bytes and reinstall a clear version of windows

I´m doing that too, reinstall a clear Windows version, just to be sure, but I will wait a few days, just in case a new version of Android Rom appears, and then do a repartitioning.

For security I didn´t enter or used any password or anything in Windows. Just mess around.

Can’t install the rom because when enter dnx fastboot mode, flasher shows waiting for device

My windows was totally clean. Reinstalling Win10 is a good practice but be carefull with drivers. Intel drivers for Z8500 are not freely available and those in techtablet repo are quite old.

Regarding Android, it’s a ROM problem to be fixed (I hope soon) by Mirek in the future.

Have you got any problem reinstalling windows with the registration key and activation? Can you lost it?

Has anyone succeeded in getting the audio in Skype to work whilst in Android? This is really a big problem for me.

If you just install windows you don’t loose your key.

Anyway you can back up it, search for windows cd key (or something like that) in download section.

Not too much. The Black Death comes at least to me in 4-5 hours. Anyway the ROM is fast and the battery life is quite good too. I wish the location services worked. I need it, but it doesn’t work in the stock ROM also.

I also asked for help with location issues, but no-one seems to know anything about it.. :-/

i ve got this black screen only 2 times on android only, 5 days that i use the tablett without black screen, the android mirek version is stable for me

Guys i don´t refer to the black screen bug, i refer to the time of use of the tablet till it discharges ;D

I was getting about 5 hours on the previous version but this one is a bit too unstable and I installed beseige on my windows partition so I haven’t really tested that much. Much better than stock is the answer but not very good compared to other android tablets and no where near as good as an ipad. Are you thinking of buying the tablet or have it already?
