FYI – Isn’t this interesting: On Apollo Lake 3450N with fully unlocked BIOS, GRUB was no go at all when initially installing Ubuntu MATE 17.10, so had to go through the reFind route. BUT this week, the Ubuntu upgrade, all done automatically, brought back the regular GRUB.
