Well, from what I surmise from hours of reading many forum posts on many forums, I suppose my machine is not hung but waiting for me to connect it to my PC from which I will issue ADB commands using tools and a PC-resident command line interface. My first task, apparently, needs to be rooting my X98 Pro. Am I close?
I believe I am ignorant in Android matters but not stupid. I’ve been writing software professionally for about 40 years, first in assembly language, then Forth, C, Java and for the last 15, supporting myself with a perl-based subscription website of my own design. My customers have almost begged me for an “App” version of my product but the learning curve is steep. Nonetheless, I’ve downloaded Android Studio, daunting as it is (but I believe the path that provides the best cross-platform compatibility is HTML5).
Still, I do understand I am lower than whale dung when it comes to Android technology and I apologize profusely for interrupting the gods with my infantile questions. I feel appropriately ignored/spat upon. But rest assured I would be most humbly appreciative if they might offer suggestions as to good resources of information for one so lowly. Which books/website pages are best for learning Android? What tool or procedure is best for rooting this almost great tablet that I have? (which, with mirek’s v6 rom, will achieve greatness)
Your humble servant, Mike
