  • This might be the link, but I have not tried it.  Please note that the English text says “E2E9” instead of “E3E9”.  This might just be a typo.

If the download is getting interrupted, maybe a download manager will help?  Chrome browser will sometimes work for restarting a download that fails a lot.

  • Another poster here, G F, recently went through this and they posted a link about backing up Windows drivers using the DISM command.

Windows 10 Driver Backup using DISM Command

I ran this on my x80Pro (E3E9) and it created 33 subfolders, which still didn’t seem so bad.  Unfortunately there were 600+…[Read more]

  • Looking at the picture you uploaded, I’d say that partition 3 is the Android partition and partition 4 is the Previous Windows 10 partition.

From reading Bunny’s post up above, it looks like you’d delete those in step 3.

Here’s a couple of other links that might…[Read more]

Thank you for the link, G F.  I’m reading through it now.   That article is a good resource.

It would be nice to have a post that was sticky that would walk people through backing up their tablet when they get it and how to image it periodically to save their setups.

  • Oh no.  Can the place you bought it from send you a replacement?  I don’t know if you will have success with doing that, but it might be worth a try.

If they won’t, then maybe open the back and see if the connector can be re-seated.  I hope it doesn’t come to that, but if you decide to do that, could you take some pictures of the internals and po…[Read more]

  • Can you boot to Android ok?  There is an OTA update that you can apply from the Android side.  I don’t know if it will help, but I applied it to my E3E9 X80Pro when I got it and had no problems.

I know Chris has some firmware, but for this model, I have offered before, but asked that someone explain how I can do this without giving away my a…[Read more]

I have this model, and it has both Android and Windows Stock partitions and they are both working.  Can you help with explaining how I can get you the files you need without giving away my personal data or information?  I don’t have a lot installed on it, but I don’t want to upload my account information.

Have you tried contacting Teclast?  …[Read more]

For people that are shopping for a small inexpensive tablet, I have the x80pro, also just a recent purchase.  After having it a month or so and just kind of fumbling around with it, I think I would generally agree with Joe.  If you haven’t pulled the trigger on your order yet, strongly consider moving on.

    I don’t think it’s a total flop, but I c…[Read more]

  • Hi! I just received my x80 Pro from GearBest as well, like yours, it is E3E9.  I booted to Android and ran the OTA update.  I don’t know if that will help you, but it is sort of a generic thing to try, if you haven’t already.

I also have extremely poor wifi reception.  I’m still setting up apps on the Android side, and space permitting, I will in…[Read more]

  • Interesting but as you pointed out Android uses it so you are already there, right?  You could just delete the windows partition and give the space to Android. There seem to be a few threads on how to to do that.

I’ll probably look at at rooting if I can be confident that I can recover the tablet as stock.

Maybe if you can find a Cherry Trail…[Read more]

  • This was a thread about a sale price.  When I get the tablet, I have no plans to install Linux.  Maybe you can start a new thread and explain why someone would want to do that. Hopefully you can have a sense of humor about it, but isn’t Linux the operating system of the future…and always will be!  hahaha.

  • I used the coupon code TXDE and was able to drop the price of the X80 Pro to $79.99

I’m not sure if Chris has got a link that will get him affiliate credit, but if someone can post one, thank you!

I bought the Blue case too, which listed at $5.86, but I applied my GearBest points to bring it down to $4.40

Not bad, for an 8″ dual boot!

  • GearBest has a new 8″ Cube on presale, the “Cube iWork8 Air Pro”.

The two main feature differences between the “Pro” and the regular Air model seem to be:

    z8350 instead of z8300

8gb of memory instead of 2gb of memory?!

Although they have that on the listing, that really doesn’t make much sense on a 32gb emmc tablet.  Why not go 4gb/64gb like…[Read more]

    Teclast TBook 12 Pro with a 12.2″ 1920×1200 screen

Are there any more currently available?

  • I know that Chris was able to adjust the Cube i9 with the Intel Xtreme Tuning Utility (XTU), but can it be used to adjust anything on the iwork12 and if anyone has used it, could you please report your results.

    Thank you!
