Doesn’t the surface pen use the same kind of technology?
From what I understood just reading a bit about the stylus itself, it doesn’t have any magnets inside, just some coiled wires which generates a magnetic field when coupled with the screen. As far as I know, they wouldn’t really be affected just having some magnet on them when not in use, and since those wires are metallic, you could use magnets to hold a pen through that I think? I haven’t had physics in quite a while so I don’t remember much about how all of this works 😛
Alternatively maybe I could add some magnets to the holder thing on the pen (uh, the flap that you use to attach a pen to your clothes), though I’m mostly worrying about if magnets on the inside could mess with, say the screen used to detect the stylus and whatnot, although there are already some magnets at the bottom of the tablet already, so it seems like it’s reasonably safe…
I’m mostly just throwing around ideas to see if this is feasible or not. I got the keyboard attachment as well, and I already have an old carrying case, so I don’t really need the official case.
