Thanks to Axis for the suggestion for the system update. My 64GB Samsung EVO Plus U3 (2017 model) finally got working as expected.
I don’t care much if Android recognizes the card, as I’m using Windows 10 only. I have attached a screenshot demonstrating the speed difference between the internal eMMC and the MicroSDXC card.
