I have exactly the same problem.

Yes, you are in TWRP, but for some strange reason, the tablet thinks that it is connected to HDMI. If you can manage to connect to an external monitor via HDMI you will see the TWRP screen.

I found to avoid black screen on recovery don’t rush the OS selector screen but wait for it to time out. Another time you can get a black screen is if you try to power on too soon after a shutdown. The OS is not fully off when the screen turns off but several seconds later.

I had the same problem. If I connect to an external monitor via HDMI then I can see the TWRP screen, but because of the size I cannot see the whole screen and some parts are out of my monitor. Does abybody know how to get the complete screen inside my monitor?. Thankyou
