    Dear Tom and Bill,

I forgot my password so it took somewhat longer.

What I did on my Teclast X98 is that I put the correct gt.bin-file in the subdirectory of the Windows flashtool with the unpacked Android image and flashed that image. That worked for both Z8300 tablets (X98 & Hi12). What I understand from your posts is that you are flashing in a somewhat different way with zipped or packed images and probably with TWRP or CWM as the flashing tool. Like Bill is telling: use the Windows ‘Intel Phone Flashtool’ and flash an unpacked image from a  Windows PC.

    Does this help?

    Dear all,

In the mean time I tried both Remix 2.0 and original Android 5.1 both on the 52 GB partition. What I found is that indeed everything works fine however, my original problem: W10 crashed every few hours and Chuwi told me that it is the OS, is not true. It is the hardware -probably internal RAM- which is NOT OK. I don’t know whether I have a Monday morning product but both Remix 2.0 and Android 5.1 crash every so often. So as far as I am concerned Chuwi Hi12 is a waste of money when you want to do something serious. For playing the tablet is fine -though anoying- but then it is a rather expensive toy.

    Hi Andi,

Indeed it works. And so all the other repartion schemes of Spzjulien for the Teclast X98 Plus should work also.

I flashed mine with 52GB as well since I got more and more BSDs on W10 of which Chuwi states that it is the operating system not their hardware which is to blame. I now have my Chuwi running on Remix OS 2.0 only but would like to try Remix 3.0 because 2.0 has several disadvantages as it is based on Android Lollipop which e.g. does strange things to Maxima on Android (will not run) and does not have WiDi or a 2dn screen which is not a duplicate.

Do you have any ideas / suggestions on that ? What did you flash ?

    Hi,

On another Z8300 tablet: Teclast X98 Plus I could almost completely enlarge the Android partion to full 64 GB (52GB).  It worked via gt.bin during flashing. Why can this not be done on the Chuwi Hi12 ?

    Regards,
