Glad to hear it. Hopefully a few more will report success with it and I will start a new topic with the files in it, seen as this one is getting a little long lol
October 23, 2015 at 5:39 pm #14009Not sure what you mean by media. On the files I have uploaded they all want to go on.
If you want to try another method, not advisable if most of your stuff works, then this backup is of my entire system. Although everything works on mine your mileage may vary. I would recommend removing most things in Device Manager for those that want to try it.

October 22, 2015 at 3:58 pm #13933The attachment in post 13640 has my sound and touch within it. But also copy the attached icnfirmware.sys file to the System32/Drivers folder.
The other compressed file is the backup of all that is listed for Bluetooth.

Down to sensors, you may have 2 in there (I did). The one you want is BMA2x2 (BMA250E etc.. etc..).
Right click on it, or long hold if you have the Touch working already. Then select Update Driver Software. Browse My Computer For Software. Let Me Pick From A List. Have Disk and point it to the G-Sensor folder from the s165c drivers. The driver you want should be the only one there, the same name but I guess tweaked for Win X. Select it and ignore all the warnings.
You shouldn’t need a reboot.
October 19, 2015 at 8:31 pm #13648You could try unticking some of the options on the restore though and see if it plays ball. Some I am not sure are needed.
The icnfirmware.sys file was an important part of the touch screen working for me. And had to be manually moved to System32/drivers from the original zip file.
October 19, 2015 at 8:27 pm #13646It could be for sure. But no, I called it quits before messing with the Bios. Mine is currently functioning perfectly so Bios is the last thing I want to be changing.
If the DD method isn’t working for you then it could be that. You could always try the more manual methods I used earlier on, see earlier posts. Though none of us on here seem to be on level playing fields. Both with what we have done and the hardware we have.
I’m struggling with time until Thursday (my day off) But people can play with what’s currently available and we can delve further from then. If I can be any help..
October 19, 2015 at 8:01 pm #13642GPIO Buttons Driver as well, remove that
October 19, 2015 at 8:00 pm #13640Give this one a shot. Remove KMDF if you have it in the Human Interface Devices section of Device Manager. Also My12C in the same section.
Then the BMA2X2 drivers in Sensors as well.

A brightness altering based on sunlight? I won’t have time to sort it in the next few days, I’ll assume it is not working on mine. I will post up the touch and sound in a minute or 10.
I used no images, just a win 10 upgrade then set about fixing the non working parts. Give me a minute..
October 19, 2015 at 7:41 pm #13636And did you delete the old Wifi driver? Or did it overwrite and work? As the others have more things to delete in Device Manager..
October 19, 2015 at 7:39 pm #13635Hey,
Yeah I am the same serial. I think the full backup is too big for the limit on this forum. Are you just missing touch and sound now? Have you tested your Gyro? Let me know and I will post another backup that should help you.
October 19, 2015 at 6:44 pm #13629I would suggest anybody deletes their current driver from device manager before running this backup on Double Driver. If this works for you I can backup my entire system (it is fully working now) should your SN match mine. I could even make it an exe (if you are trusting) if you really don’t know what you are doing.
Hope everyone gets theirs sorted. Apart from the trackpad on the keyboard I am nothing but impressed with this little thing. Battery life aside (charging too) it isn’t much worse than my other tablets over double the cost.
October 19, 2015 at 6:33 pm #13627Here is the compressed backup of my wifi driver, using DD.

If those drivers don’t work for you though then you are potentially in the same boat as Dave and he may be back with his files and solution. It looks like they might have all got random whatever is left hardware in them. Mine seems to be a mixture of new and old.
October 18, 2015 at 4:30 pm #13544If you mean the ones I used they are available on the link that Phillip has posted. If you mean the other ones Dave is after then he may post them up if he gets what he is looking for. I don’t know what I am doing with the other method either, though the others will. The ones I took were from the google address that Phillip originally posted (post 13474)
