Did you install Intel’s Android driver on your PC?
Look for it here: https://software.intel.com/en-us/android/articles/intel-usb-driver-for-android-devices
June 27, 2017 at 3:59 pm #68554You can probably find them somewhere on the forum here. But, here is a link to a pdf file that includes the instructions in English: https://www.android-hilfe.de/attachments/tbook11systeminstallationguide-pdf.520493/
You have to recover Android first and then re-install windows. The instructions include who how to update Android or recover Android. You can’t update Android if you can’t boot into it. So, you need to recover Android which erases Windows. After that, you need to follow the instructions on how to install windows.
I used the files located here:
http://www.teclast.com/en/firmware/showtools.php
You type in E5A6 (if that is the model you have. The back of your tbook will show either E5A3 or E5A6) and it will take you to 2 links. One of the links is broken so just use the one that works. Download the files and extract them.
You will also need to write down your Windows Product Key. Use google to figure that out.
If you don’t think you can do this, you may be better off returning the product.
June 27, 2017 at 2:06 pm #68550My Tablet is now fully restored. The problem I had with installing Windows is some unclear wording in the translated version of the instructions. The instructions indicate that you need to copy the files in the “images” folder to a USB key called images. In reality, you need to copy the folder itself over and not just the files.
Thankfully, I wrote down my Windows Product Key before I started (I needed it). Anyone looking to update should do that as well.
June 26, 2017 at 10:18 pm #68521I should add that I am now having trouble with windows. The install process is claiming I have missing files (when I don’t) and am getting errors. Not sure what to do next. I am following the instructions with 2 USB flash memory keys, a hub and a keyboard – The process is just not working for me on the windows side now.
June 26, 2017 at 10:16 pm #68520Stig – Go into the intel flash tool and click File and then Options. In options, look at the name of the Default Flash File Folder. Then take all the Android files that make up the package and move them to whatever the default folder is. After that, try and flash again. It should work this time.
June 26, 2017 at 5:54 am #68485After using win10 alone for a week, I decided it was time to start the reinstallation process.
I completed step 1 tonight which was reinstalling Android. This step wipes everything off the tablet so make sure you back all your windows files up. Tomorrow I will start reinstalling windows but need to get a couple of USB keys first.
Quick trick for the android reinstall. The install files need to be in the correct directory for it to work, my flash failed 5 or 6 times before I realised this. You need to go to the options in the intel flash program and either change the download directory or move your files to the one listed.
Beware that android may try and update again. Don’t do it. Trust me…
June 19, 2017 at 5:05 pm #68315and please, can you tell me how to reinstall android and windows? and is it possible to reinstall only android, saving windows that now does work correctly? could happen that during reinstall i lose double boot? thanks
I don’t know either.
I have read that you can only update Android if your tablet is in Android mode (which is not working on our tablets). Otherwise, you need to reinstall Android completely from the beginning which is supposed to erase everything on the device (which means you need to reinstall android and then Windows right after it). I have not tried it yet as I am worried I will lose dual boot or the tablet will stop working. Once I give it a try, I will provide an update (maybe later this week or early next week).
June 18, 2017 at 10:04 pm #68294This happened to me as well. I can’t believe they would push an update that would mess up this badly. The bios bootup does not see the android partitian so it won’t boot to android.
It looks like the only fix is to reinstall android and windows even though windows works. This is frustrating as so many things can go wrong during the flash process.
