Delippo 30W 12V 2.5A Tablet PC Charger AC Adapter For Cube i7 Power supply cord http://s.aliexpress.com/NfyUryUv (from AliExpress Android)
Thanks. That’s pretty close but it doesn’t look like it’s UL listed. If I don’t find a better option somewhere I might get this.
August 12, 2016 at 1:34 am #46472I vaguely recall something on these forums about Chinese tablet manufacturers using a program that intercepts the key check sent to Microsoft and tells the OS that it’s genuine. I’ll find that again and how to see if that’s what’s happening with my tablet. In any case thanks again and have a bump, Jonathan.
August 11, 2016 at 7:53 pm #46454Thanks for a very useful post. Since I upgraded to a larger SSD I’d already done step 3 but I’ll take care of the others too. I tried to get my Windows key but it isn’t working. On my Windows 10 tablet I pressed Windows key + R, typed cmd, hit Enter, then alternately tried both manually typing and copy/pasting wmic path softwarelicensingservice get OA3xOriginalProductKey then hitting Enter but each time it just returns OA3xOriginalProductKey on the following line. When I used Belarc Advisor it showed my product ID as well as well as the real key. Am I doing something wrong?
August 4, 2016 at 10:07 pm #45653After searching the forums and rewatching his i7 Stylus vids it doesn’t seem like there’s one here. I’ll dig through the XDA forums when I’ve got a few minutes to spare.
Edit: I took just a second on XDA and found a photo (but not video) DIY heatspreader guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63500716&postcount=1316
Here’s the full thread on the i7 Stylus: http://forum.xda-developers.com/windows-8-rt/general/cube-i7-stylus-t3151563
July 27, 2016 at 11:30 pm #44794After all my excitement it seems like the new drive is DOA. With the new Transcend 256GB I turn the tablet on & it just shows the Cube logo then does nothing. Stuck the old Foresee back in & everything is working fine again.
Any advice on how to get the strip with the volume rocker & power button to stay in place when putting the tablet back together? That’s been a huge hassle since I have to slide the bottom end with the pogo pin connector into place first and then do the top with the strip last. Since the two are connected by that rubber strip they always pull each other out of position.
July 27, 2016 at 12:55 pm #44723Make a Windows image backup first to restore or an Acronis image backup? Then you can restore this to the new, larger SSD.
Thanks, I’d forgotten to mention I downloaded Macrium Reflect already. Do you recommend Acronis instead?
July 27, 2016 at 4:14 am #44653That’s good work. How did you make that skin?
July 11, 2016 at 3:53 pm #43150Thanks, Chakkapan. It looks good and I found one for a good price so I’ll try it out.
June 19, 2016 at 4:48 am #41437Thanks, Tofu. I was looking into android emulation while waiting for replies and found an article about precisely that. What device are you using it on? How many incompatible or low compatibility apps have you found? Are there any quirks to using AmiDuOS compared to a standard android device?
