check lock and click apply then use handbrake.fr and re-encode a video file in x265 for 10 min. put throttlestop on top and watch the speed and thermals the temp could be around 75 C the speed should stay at 1.9 but could go down to 1.6 if you have other jobs in the background working. before you start, check that there is nothing much running ™ in my 8 min sample the temp went max 77C and the speed stayed 1.9 what is the max for 4 processes and it stayed permanent around 9.5 w oh, and check this with HWinfo, if it looks different send screenshot

Sorry for my late answer, I had some struggle with installing M.2 SSD. I used Handbrake.fr according to your instruction, after 28 sec it went down to 9  (8,9-9,1) Watts TDP Limit. Max Temp after 7:32 mins was 54°C, as you can see.

My HWinfo is showing me an extra point “CPU Power Limit 1 – Long Duration” with unlimited duration. Depending on which Settings I choose in Throttle Stop the values in HWinfo are changing.

I tried the same settings like you have and some other, if I put TTL to the minimum there is no difference. Always after 28 seconds thermal throttling begins. Only the watt settings are taken over correctly. So I can type in 12 or 15 watts and they will work for 28 seconds.

Yes, I turned on the “turn on” button. 🙂

I haven’t thermal problems, I have done the copper heat sink mod. Under load with Prime95 I only reach 52°C, when thermal throttling starts (after 28 sec). After 15 mins Prime95, I never get about 60°C. So this can´t be the reason… :/

I have BIOS Version 5.12, 12/05/2017 and Windows 10 Build 1709, which one do you have?

It would be nice to get the TDP increase running without flashing BIOS.

    Hello,

I have the same problem like @bezisek, I’m able to increase TDP with Throttle Stop (e.g. 12 Watts, like shown in the last post by @Chupa), but under load the TDP returns to 9 Watts after ~28 seconds. Turbo Time Limit is set to the maximum.

Could someone solve this problem or has an idea how to fix that issue?

    Thank you!
