I upgraded my X98 Air II (Wifi) just fine with exception the rotation issues which can be fixed by the drivers. I do have one device flagged as unknown/problematic – WDI (Wireless Display) something. Any driver to fix this? It is not on the pack.

I’d like to update everyone. So finally after many reboots and updates, my X98 Air II is working as it should. Rotation, camera and everything works just fine. The tablet seems to be warmer than Win 8.1, which is consistent with the battery draining faster than usual. I prefer Win 10 user interface.

Another annoyance is that sometimes the tablet froze (start button, cortana) or when doing some tasks like copying. It seems the CPU is slow or not optimised for Win 10. With clean install (keep nothing) and after deleting Windows.Old directory, the 32GB single OS tablet has around 15-16 GB free space.

I still couldn’t figure out how to start safe mode or recovery mode for this tablet.

    Jared,
It’s a 32GB so I choose a single OS – Windows 8. All is well now. I just noticed two things so far:

    1) Device Manager – Other Devices – IWDAud_Device_06 that has no drivers. Driver pack has nothing for it
    2) Both camera front and back doesn’t work. The driver is latest to the pack.

    Any idea?

    Leonard,

Is your tablet a dual boot tablet? If it is can you still get to the OS selection screen?

I have Teclast X98 Air II (Wifi) and started the update to Win10 by way of Media Creation Tool.  I was at the screen where there were big circles with number 1 (copying files), 2 (installing feature) and 3.  The tablet suddenly went black at step 2 or 3 and can’t be rebooted again.

Before the upgrade, I choose option ‘do not keep my files and apps’.  The first option was not available as the language seems to be different (although I confirmed both ISO and Tablet were using English UK).

    [Update]
It seems after Windows 10 initial setup, the tablet can not restart byitself. I have to long press power button to force power off and press on again. After setup completed, pressing restart also put the tablet in a black freezing screen. I had to the longpress again.

The rotation works after the driver but it went wrong way. 180 degrees flipped (upside down).
