I think the power consumption can be partially solved with new firmware because right now according to hwinfo64, the GPU is always using >1W even in idle, which is very weird. Standard idle power consumption of intel gpu’s since sandy bridge is much lover, typically <0.1W. I’m curious what will be the power consumption in different cherry trail models.
connect the keyboard and keep pressing esc/delete (I don’t know which one, I press both) right after you turn it on. But there is not much to set, only date/time and you can choose to boot from usb (if connected)
no, the tablet cannot boot from sd card, only from usb
I tried latest beta of ubunut 15.10 but it freezes during boot, I was able to boot archlinux installer but I didn’t have time to test the installation.
