If you are doing the thermal mod, id suggest use a thermal pad slightly thinner than 1mm between the emi shield and the rear case. Just to limit the pressure between the screen and the digitizer.
September 27, 2015 at 11:18 pm #12007Also, keep in mind, the stress tests I ran, ran this processor to the maximum it could put out, I would think you could safely assume that it would never get to these temperatures in normal usage when gaming. As no game will ever stress the CPU and GPU to 100% utilization.
September 27, 2015 at 11:31 pm #12008According to the Intel graphics properties I don’t actually have windows 10 home, I have the insiders preview of windows 10 pro.
Is it possible there is some trickery going on at teclast? has anyone verified that they in fact have a 100% legit copy of windows 10 home on their tablet?
It also won’t install the graphics update. it reports as if its been installed if you let it happen automatically, but it doesn’t actually install the update. when you manually install it, it throws and error saying the update isn’t for this processor. has anyone been able to verified that the graphics update has actually installed??

Standard idle power consumption of intel gpu’s since sandy bridge is much lover, typically <0.1W. I’m curious what will be the power consumption in different cherry trail models.
September 28, 2015 at 7:48 am #12020I checked mine too and also got the insiders preview of windows 10 pro. I will contact the shop i bought the tablet because i bought it assuming it was a fully windows 10 version and not a insider preview version
September 28, 2015 at 9:26 am #12023I am getiing a bit confused. If i use Intel graphics properties it says that the windows version is windows 10 pro ionsider preview. But if i look up the product key with showkeyplus it says windows 10 home, oem edition: win 10 RTM Core OEM:DM, Original Edition: Win 10 RTM Core Retail
product key-x64 says also windows 10 home.
So what is it now? Windows 10 pro insider preview or windows 10 home?
September 28, 2015 at 12:05 pm #12043@Theo, maybe you have a legitimate copy of Windows 10 Home but you are subscribed to Windows Update Fast ring? Checking the Windows version number to see if it’s greater than 10240 (RTM).
September 28, 2015 at 1:35 pm #12047@B Salita
This is the first windows 10 version i have. Never subscribed to windows update fast ring. On laptop i run linux lite.
I checked the version number and its 10.0.10240 (oem edition: Win 10 RTM Core OEM:DM)
September 28, 2015 at 1:59 pm #12055Explanation on how to select fast ring.
http://www.cnet.com/how-to/change-to-the-fast-ring-for-more-frequent-windows-10-preview-updates/
If slow or fast is selected, it explains why you see Insider Preview. Insider Preview can only unselected by reinstalling Windows.
September 28, 2015 at 2:06 pm #12056Following the steps in the link i dont see an option for fast or slow.
But i do see download insider version with as button below it to get started.
September 28, 2015 at 2:30 pm #12059that’s just a bug in intel drivers, it shows insider preview even if you have legit retail version
