Thank you for your answer. The laptop seemed totally dead, had lenghty conversation with support and finally got to send it back.
The power adapter seemed to charge the laptop (first orange light, after some time green light) but it did not come to life with the power button.
The return process waws quite complicated since I had paid VAT at the customs and had to declare it again when sending it back so that I can avoid paying VAT again when it ships back…
August 9, 2017 at 9:11 pm #70337How do you enter into BIOS? My thinker doesn’t seem to start (display black), just wondering if the laptop is not dead (on arrival) maybe something wrong with the BIOS… I am afraid that I have to send it back though…
August 9, 2017 at 8:45 pm #70334Thanks for the tip. I tried it again with power cable connected and without it. Pressed power key for 3-4 seconds and then waited. Unfortunately nothing happens even after about 2 minutes. Without power cable connected the LED next to the power port just flashes (about 0,5 s) immediately when pressing the power button. After that, nothing else happens.
I bought it from GearBest and sent an email to their support. Included pictures and a video clip of nothing happening. Got an answer where they asked to have pictures and video of the problem… Sent them again the pictures (via their support web page) and the video clip as email (as they ask if the size is >5 MB). They asked again to get the video clip… So I recompressed the video clip so it fits under 5 MB so I could upload it via the web page. Now waiting for their answer.
Video of the problem attached in case anyone has any idea of what to try next (in addition to trying to get some real answer from customer support…)

(Obviously the notebook is turned off since it will not power on).
Disconnected battery power cable from mainboard and plugged back in – didn’t help. Now thinking whether to return it for replacement (not ideal) or trying to reattach all cables to see if it would solve anything…
August 7, 2017 at 4:51 pm #70243Just got today the Cube Thinker I ordered for my daughter for school. It didn’t seem to turn on. I charged it (red light until it turned green). So looks like battery charging works. When turning it on (without power cable attached) the led blinks very shortly in green and nothing happens. Manual says to press power button for three seconds to turn on the machine (with help of google translate). If I hold the power button pressed for a long time after maybe 20 seconds there is a brief red flash of the led (reset?) but machine is still not turning on.
If the power cable is attached then the left USB port is getting power (charging my bluetooth headset works there) but right USB port is not getting power.
Could anyone with a working one see if the right port is getting power?
Could there be any loose cable inside? Opened up the back lid but didn’t see anything looking loose. If the other USB socket should give power when charging then that might be the place to look…
