You ordered  a wrong interface card. The one which you got is PCIe. Return it and get a correct one with pins similar to the the Huawei module.

I have a pen in the mail right now. Waiting for it to be delivered since a week. Stuck at customs. Will test palm rejection after I receive it.

Storage devices cannot be used in that slot. We had already discussed that earlier in this thread.

No point trying an SSD in it. Only Comm devices like wifi and 4G LTE cards can be used in it.

Yes it should. It runs Pro without any issues so I am guessing Enterprise should as well. Check attached images/screenshots above.

Please do post your test and findings if you try the settings on the X2 Pro. 🙂

I have not tried any BIOS settings. It is the same BIOS which is used in the i7 stylus, so I guess if you could find some BIOS settings instructions for TDP then you can definitely try it.

Also, dont get bothered by the temperature. It is very normal for the processor to reach 85 degree C and above in full 100% CPU load. All Core M processors heat with passive cooling… be it in a tablet manufactured by ASUS, Microsoft, etc or by any Chinese manufacturers.

I just tested with my 1TB WD USB 3 HDD. Works fine for me. Must be low power issue as Daniel pointed out.

I think this should be good enough for programming needs. Maybe you can google the performance of the processor and see if it can handle your processing requirements.

I did not take any measurement. The pad between the CPU and the copper heat sink plate is held by screws. It was very thin after being sandwiched between both. After removing it and adding the thermal paste, I tightened it to sit flush with the cpu soc.. so there is no gap even after replacing the pad with the paste.

The temp of the processor is 2-3 degrees lower. The best benefit of this mod is a lot less thermal throttling. Anyone with a Core M tablet can let you know of the heats generated with this tablet which eventually leads to throttling. With only passive cooling available, the faster you can dissipate the heat.. the lesser thermal throttling you will get. However, I would not recommend this to be done by someone who is not familiar of the process.

Edit: To add, thermal paste needs some time to “cure”. Usually they need 20-40 heat and cool cycles to settle down properly. So you wont see temp differences as soon as you apply thermal paste. You might even see higher temps. Pastes take approx a week to settle down properly and will always be better than thermal pads (good quality pastes).

You cannot get the key from the product ID. Product ID = generic identification of what version/type of Windows you’re installing, which is the same for everyone. 🙂

I am using a i7 remix 11.6″ screen gaurd. Works well for me.. around 1mm of gap on all sides.

Teclast images are overloaded with Chinese crap. You will be better off doing a fresh install and installing all the drivers. However, there must be a place to download the image ISO but those will be in chinese. You will have to take a look at official teclast forums.

    1. Banggood shipped me a legal copy of Windows 10. I used my own licensed copy though. I used a UEFI bootable USB. I have posted steps to do that above in earlier posts.
    2. I haven’t tried it. However, there should be a way. Any other user might be able to help.
    3. M.2 NGFF 2242 mSATA SSD is the one which you should be looking for. Fits perfectly as you can see in the pictures I uploaded.
    4. 4G modules are different for different countries. It depends on thet “4G BAND” which is used in your country and your 4G service provider. I used a Huawei 906C which supports the band in India. Link: http://consumer.huawei.com/en/solutions/m2m-solutions/products/tech-pecs/me906c.htm
You will have to contact your service provider for BAND info and then buy a proper one.
    5. Doubledrivers info here: http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/double_driver.html
It is kind of a driver backup software.

Got replacement tablet today. Upgraded the SSD. Added a Huawei 4G module. Added antennas. 4G works fine.

Feel free to add questions here. Do not send me PM as answers would be helpful to others users as well.

I did some heatsink mods as well. Sadly did not take any pictures. I removed the thermal pad on the CPU and added Gelid Extreme thermal paste. I removed the thermal pad on top of the copper heatsink and replaced it with thin copper plates.. held together by thermal paste as well.

My replacement tablet is still in transit. Was stuck in customs for a week and got released today. Holiday season in India so I guess I can expect more delays due to Govt officials on leave. 🙁

I use these steps to make a UEFI Bootable disk. You will need a USB drive and a Windows 10 64 Bit ISO.

    1. Connect USB drive to a Windows PC.
    2. Open a command prompt with Admin rights and run the commands below
      1. Enter the following command in the CMD window:
        • diskpart
      2. With this command you can display the list of drives.
        • list disk
      3. Now, identify your USB stick and enter the following command as a number (instead of “#”):
        • select disk #
      4. You can delete all existing partitions from the USB stick with this command:
        • clean
      5. With this chain of command, a new partition is created, then selected, activated and then formatted to FAT32. A drive is subsequently assigned when the procedure is completed:
        • create partition primary
        • select partition 1
        • active
        • format quick fs=fat32
        • assign
      6. Now you can exit Diskpart:
        • exit
    3. Mount the Windows 10 ISO and then copy all the files on the CD Image to the USB drive.

The UEFI bootable USB drive is ready. Connect it to the tablet. Boot into the BIOS. Under “Save & Exit” menu there is “Boot Override” menu, which should show your USB stick if UEFI detected it correctly. Select it to Boot from the USB and start the install.
