Does anyone know how to change the Recover partition size and merge it with C: partition so that I have space to update to Win10?

You can’t due to the way Windows 8.1 and 10 work. You’re doing the upgrade from a USB or SD card, correct? Having the Windows installation on the drive itself would be taking up way too much room. Also your pagefile, you should temporarily disable it to gain 1GB+ back. Personally I’d reset Windows 8.1 and have it delete all of the files and applications. You can also try this if you haven’t already.

Upgrading from USB,  I disabled the pagefile as you suggested and gained 3.57 GB ….thanks

Now if someone that has changed the recover partition size and merge it with C: partition would post how to, I should have enough space to update to Win10…….since I just gained 3.57 GB!

No, the partitions are the size that came with the tablet.

I have checked all folders and the largest folder is WinSxs.

I have also attached an image of my partitions. Disk1 is a 32Gig Micro SD card.

Go in to the properties of your C disk and there run DISK CLEANUP in the new windows choose CLEAN UP SYSTEM FILES (CHECK EVERYTHING). Done. Upgrade windows without microSD inserted!

Jadrix, thanks but I had already done Disk Cleanup but I tried it again per your instructions and gain very little space.

I need around 6 Gig to upgrade to Win10

For me it was possible by placing a 32GB USB stic in Pipo. It has total have lasted more like 18 hours but it was successful.

Different tablet but how was the USB formatted, FAT32, NTSF ? I would like to keep the OS on the internal drive. I do have a 32G Micro SD card.

I would like to know if it is possible to change partitions on the internal 32G drive so that the Win10 will upgrade and still have Android for dual boot. I have spent hours searching the forums for a guide but have not found one. I believe this is would be a help to many.

    • Vi10  Z3736F  32G
    • S/N: Q32G2215090****
    • BIOS is J1D_S165C_206

I also would like to upgrade to Win10 but have tried twice and after hours of windows saying it is upgrading the error pops up that I need 6 more gig to upgrade. I then have to reinstall Win8.1  but Android is still working….thank goodness.

Is there anyway to install Win10 on my 32G version of Vi10 and still keep Android?

I have not added any programs the tablet is as received new. But shows only 5.36G out of 15.0G free.

    Thanks in advance

Frederic, I want to thank you helping get my wifi and touch working.

I want to upgrade to win10 but need to know if I use the win 10 image in your first post of this thread will it be activated as my 8.1 is and will I  still have android. I tried to use windows site to upgrade but it says I do not have enough gigs. I have not installed any programs.  I have only what came installed with tablet so there should be enough memory?
