Thanks, I saw that already. Maybe I’m too stupid, but isn’t this just the original and modified fan fix files (EC805.bin, +12. +20)? The flashable bios file should look different, right?
Thank you so much! That worked just fine and I am on the Chinese version with English language pack now, updated to Pro via key change. Battery life seems better by about 1 hour or so!
Thanks so much! I think the modifications should still be there as Chris uses the factory image with the English version and still has the battery improvements. Do you happen to know how I can install the .wim file? I’ve never used those, only .iso.
@Noel Horváth – Thanks so much. You are right about the license, but I do have an extra Windows 10 Pro license (they are also pretty cheap to get nowadays), so the Chinese version would be fine. You are also right that it’s difficult / impossible to download the stuff in your links from Baidu. so if you or someone else could upload the Chinese factory image somewhere else (e.g. Gdrive) that would be great! Thanks again! 🙂
@wilmafingerdo – Do you have the original factory image (possibly as a full back up maybe from your system), or, alternatively, the modified Windows version you talked about or the scripts as files we can just run (I honestly don’t really understand how to follow your instructions)? That would be greatly appreciated. I only found some Chinese instructions on how to get the original factory version here but they seem complicated because of translation issues: https://www.miui.com/thread-11455594-1-1.html
