I have the very same problem – my tablet arrived last week, and after the first WIn update process I wask to activate Windows and informed then that the windows key was “no longer valid”
I mailed that problem to gear best support and got a – have to say it that way – idiotic answer:
“First, connect to the network, and then set the local time, set to local time, there will be operation guidance, no password is required.”
That of course has nothing to do with the issue – and the answer was given although I included a photo of the on screen message about the windows key. I dont know if the person answering was really that dumb or avoiding the issue. At the moment I am considering to make a paypal cause out of it even…
