Pipo’s W1 Pro is their latest tablet which still sticks with the bright 1920 x 1200 10.1″ IPS panel as seen in W3 and W3F. This model included an active stylus with 1024 pressure levels and a keyboard dock with two USB 2.0 ports either side. Now powered by the revised Atom Cherry Trail Z8350 and 4GB of 1600Mhz RAM which is also clocked correctly to the maximum supported speed and not 1066Mhz we often see.
The eMMC is a Sandisk, with great speeds for this type of flash drive. (Covered in the video review)
The tablet itself doesn’t have a full USB port on there, but we do have a USB type-c port that can be used with the included adaptor. The port powers external hard drives and operates at USB 3.0 speeds which is great. Charging is also via the USB Type-C port.
Overall the Pipo W1 Pro I find to be an average tablet, while it is lighter than most. The build feels more plastic and cheaper than others. The weak speakers, a tiny touchpad, and small 6000mAh are where it’s let down. I was only able to achieve around four to four and a half hours of run time at 40% brightness which is well below what the 8000 and 9000 mAh tablets can get. And well short of the battery life tablet king the Chuwi Hi12 which can get almost 10 hours.
