The T-Bao Tbook4 is yet another N3450 powered laptop out of China. But the first to come in this darker grey colour that looks very slick and more professional than the gold or silver I think. And a welcomed change. The screen is a matte anti-glare 1080p IPS panel which sadly has the refresh rate locked down to 48hz to save on battery life it seems.

The Tbook4 has 6GB of LPDDR3 RAM, same as the others with two 3GB Samsung chips. The wireless card, unfortunately, is one of the biggest drawbacks, it’s still Wireless N, single band 2.4Ghz. It does, however, have the best range of any devices tested, detecting and able to use networks further than most can even the Wireless AC laptops. Still, despite the great range, the speeds top out around 45MB/s whereas the Intel Wireless AC 3165 laptops like the EZBook 3 Pro (version 3) can get well over 250MB/s.
Battery life is also another strong point, getting up to and even over 10 hours of battery life thanks to the lower screen refresh rate. However, at 48hz, I can sometimes see a little flickering that does annoy me.
The keyboard isn’t a quality one either, some keystrokes don’t register, especially the space bar and this results in a few more typos than normal. The touchpad is great! Yes, finally a precision touchpad on a budget laptop. It’s large, accurate and nice to work with,
Overall the Tbook4 is a disappointing laptop and I highly recommend going for something like the EZBook 3 Pro instead.
