Cube’s iWork 5X is a cheaper version of the Thinker i35. It’s based on a 360 degree-hinge design for a 2-in-1 laptop that can be folded back to convert itself into a tablet or use the downward facing keyboard as a base to support the screen. But at 1.7 kilos and 13.3-inches, that’s a rather heavy and large tablet you won’t be holding for long.
The Cube iWork5X has a premium build to it, the best seen yet for an Apollo Lake Celeron N3450 device. A great 1080p touchscreen, quad speakers that sound so much better than the typical poor 2 downwards firing speaker setup we get.
The touchpad is a precision large and accurate touchpad that’s great to use, so what’s the catch? Why isn’t this the best N3450 laptop there is? Well, it seems the first batch has a few minor complaints, once fixed, the Cube iWork 5X would be one of the better devices. Learn all the ins and out of this device in the full video review below. Edit: Rating increased as the battery issue as mention in the review fixed itself after completeling a full discharge and full charge when powered off. The key to also making it work correctly was not charging via type-c. It’s the type-C charging that seems to mess up the battery meter/gauge. Stick to using the D/C plug for charging and you should be fine. Issues like the keyboard are just down to luck if you have a good or one with missing key strokes.
