So, I was extracting Halo Online, wasn’t paying attention to the laptop, and when I came back to it I found it powered down. I turned it on, and it sat at the ‘Jumper’ screen for several minutes before trying to run some manner of Windows repair which eventually failed because I didn’t have an install disc. I power cycled, after some time it booted into a tiny little window again saying something about recovery, but I wanted to use the Win10 refresh, powercycled again, now it stays on ‘Jumper’ screen indefinitely and eventually powers down. Battery was fully charged when this happened. I had been tinkering with power settings and may have set it to hibernate, which I now know might be bad. I had recently(a week ago) installed an m.2 and migrated the boot drive there. At that time I set the boot order accordingly. Now I cannot access the BIOS (UEFI I suppose) in order to allow a USB drive to boot ahead of the m.2 so I can run a recovery disc, or reinstall. I saw someone else had been locked out of the BIOS and used the Windows ‘reboot into BIOS’ feature to get back in, but that is clearly not an option for me.
Any ideas? How do I proceed? I don’t have a way to read the m.2 in other devices unless I get a USB adapter for it, my primary PC is an Alienware Alpha, so my hardware is limited. Any way into that bios? did I bork it completely?
