DC tip doesn’t fit so I picked one up from my local hardware store and soldered it on. Works really good and the PSU is really small and neat to carry around. Not sure if this particular PSU is available anywhere else, this was a warehouse clearing.

 

The important thing is that you get the correct voltage, 12v. The ampare specification an varie, the stock one is 3A. If you buy a charger with something higher, not much will happen, the device won’t draw more then 3A anyways(I  think). If you pick something that is less then 3A, the latop should charge slower, but shouldn’t  damage it.

I ordered a replacement for the old Asus EEE laptops. I’ll let you know how it goes when I get it. They’re super cheap on ebay.

Do you have a link as the ones I found either had a different tip size or were 19V instead of the 12V needed?

I”m not bothered if the tip isn’t the same, I can change it with the charger that came with my laptop.

Instead of buying another charger I bought an extension from ebay £1.99, works perfectly. If anything its too long now!!

Have you checked if charging times are any different?

It went from 26% to 100% in 2h15mins according to battery bar, seems about normal.

ifound a cable that convert the usb 5v input to 12v output on 2A its a 5.5 mm but i can use an adapter to port on 3.5 mm . so with this i think i can use it with some powerbank . what do you think ?
