Looks like the wrong tip size. Check this out: https://www.ebay.com/itm/222345533939
Is that the right tip size?

What I can see from the other posts, yes.
January 18, 2018 at 12:31 pm #77188I live in sweden and found this one for about 13 euros: https://www.alina.se/Produkt.aspx?site=prask&T2=PNA0360101&utm_source=pricerunner&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=pricerunner DC tip doesn’t fit so I picked one up from my local hardware store and soldered it on. Works really good and the PSU is really small and neat to carry around. Not sure if this particular PSU is available anywhere else, this was a warehouse clearing. The important thing is that you get the correct voltage, 12v. The ampare specification an varie, the stock one is 3A. If you buy a charger with something higher, not much will happen, the device won’t draw more then 3A anyways(I think). If you pick something that is less then 3A, the latop should charge slower, but shouldn’t damage it.
That was a very good tip(!?) Hehe, bought one too and as you say very neat.
Where did you buy the tip?
Edit: Nevermind, I found it at Kjell&co
January 20, 2018 at 7:19 pm #77392ifound a cable that convert the usb 5v input to 12v output on 2A its a 5.5 mm but i can use an adapter to port on 3.5 mm . so with this i think i can use it with some powerbank . what do you think ?
I wouldn’t recommend it because to output 2A at 12V you need 4.8+A (+ because of the efficiency loss) at 5V and nothing can supply that much current.

so if i have a cable that convert (with his chip) from 5v (stardand usb) to 12v at 2A and i use a powerbank with 15000 mha 3A, it wouldn’t charge or charge slowly ? my idea was to create a sort of macbook cable that can be used with more mobility. (example charge the ultrabook when is in the backpack)
February 11, 2018 at 3:13 pm #79310February 11, 2018 at 4:53 pm #79312I bought this one and runs great.
The cable on that one is pretty much the same length as the original, most people will want one with a longer cable.
February 12, 2018 at 12:36 am #79325I bought it because it has an European plug that stays firmer than the original with the adapter provided by Gearbest. The cable lenght is the same.

It will change slower and maybe heat the power bank a bit
