    Hello,

I really need your help. Few days ago my X98Pro was OK (Windows / Android) – everything fine – no problems.

Now I have problem, when I switch-on my tablet, I always get Aptio Setup Utility and my tablet doesnt start.

Please help what to do! I need my tablet back. Thank you for any tip.

That’s a known problem with this tablet, you need to update the BIOS

    http://techtablets.com/2015/10/teclast-x98-pro-boot-to-bios-missing-emmc-fix-bios-update/

And while you’re at it, set IGD Turbo Boost to Disable, to avoid unexpected shutdowns (another common problem)

Read this forum, the X98 Pro has several problems and it is not ready for general use by non-technical people, you need to do several changes to mitigate the problem it has.

If you can, return it and get the X98 Plus instead.

Note: I asked the seller if I can send it back to China to buy another one but they are not into this solution. There is no customer care from them and I am sure this was my first order from China and also last one.

I like this tablet so I´ll try to update BIOS, hope it will help me. If there is any youtube vid how to do that, I appreciate to watch it.

It’s just like updating the BIOS on any other PC.

You put it onto a USB thumb drive and connect it with a USB OTG adapter, or put the files on a MicroSD card and insert the card into the media card slot.
