because when it’s powered off it charges to 100% then stop (even when there is green light) and battery is loosing power even when notebook is powered off. you need to power it on or (maybe) just reconnect DC to start charging again. i doubt you will get more then 4,5h on ezbook, maybe on idle / low brigthness. anyway you can prepare that some day battery will start loosing capacity rapidly, mine worked good for 3 months, then lost all capacity during 2 weeks, now it last for a minute.
Wow, now THAT is worrying. What could be the cause of that? The charger you think? Why would that be?
Would a 12v 2a charger fix it? Because I have the same problem – last two times I charged it stopped at 93/94 percent, led was green, and wouldn’t charge the rest until I replugged. I’ve drained it again today and it’s charging again now overnight.
Gearbest wanted a screenshot/video, I sent them the pic of the battery meter right after I had charged it, only at 93%. They said they “need to get their technicians to look at the image”.
Meanwhile I’m now petrified that the charger is going to ruin the battery, after what you said about it’s quick decline?

Maybe not! I woke up this morning after charging it all night, and it was ACTUALLY on 100% this time. So I’m going to do another full discharge and recharge, and cross my fingers it is at 100% again. Hopefully that should mean it’s not a faulty battery right?
June 11, 2018 at 6:53 am #143783no. my battery was working fine for 2,5m, from 0-100% and 3,5-5h battery time. then just in 2 weeks it lost all capacity. if your battery will be fine in a 6-12m from now you can say it’s not faulty 😉

Well that’s worrying then. I wanted to do some mods to the laptop (heatsink mod, add an SSD) but obviously if they open the unit and see those, they’ll say the warranty is void.
Having said that, it doesn’t neccessarilty mean my battery is faulty, we’ll just have to wait and see. Again though, how do you know the charger should be 2a instead of 3a? Isn’t that just theory at this stage?
June 27, 2018 at 9:12 am #144199Same here. When I am lucky I make it to 50-60% till instant shut off.
Interesting: I can not restart without power supply, but after start it shows % numbers between 3 and 47%.
Strange: after a few minutes of loading, I can unplug and the battery keeps “loading” like from 31 to 45%, see pic.( sry it´s in german).
I did not open my jumper yet, since I still hope for repair. So I donßt have the part number yet.
Is this a battery issues at all or more about the electronics of the notebook.
I guess we are talking about
this one: 3487265 7,6 v 4800 mah 36.48Wh
not this one? 3282122- 2 s 7,6 v 4500 mah 32.4WhBtw. Loading goes superfast like 50% in 3o minutes. But this might e the case because just a few cells are loading.
Any danger, working with such a broken battery?

So I disconnected the battery and with power cable in it immediately turned on. I found that the battery on the right was swelled. Next week I will change batteries with new one from Ali, till then I will use it without battery.
Edit: just replaced batteries. New ones are much heavy. They are 2x 3.7V 6600mah for a total of 13200mah. Other important thing is that they perfectly fit in the original battery case. Will tell you more about autonomy!

The notebook’s working without the battery.
Advise for a compatible battery would be appreciated.
Thanks

I bought 2 of these https://www.aliexpress.com/item/L552-3-7V-6000mAH-4212078-PLIB-Polymer-lithium-ion-Li-ion-battery-LG-cell-for/32531318879.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.72184c4dxm2CGP
Size is right and capacity is better than oem

I think you might be the first person here to sucessfully do this. I think you need to make a detailed write-up about how you did it, what tools you used, the process etc. Please.

Maybe you’re right! So:
First of all you have to disconnect the original battery and dismantle it: I cutted the wires from the battery on the right (red circles in photo) and cutted the connector on the left battery (green circles) that keep it connected to the circuit! So that you now have the circuit and the plastic case without batteries. I bought 2x of this batteries https://www.aliexpress.com/item/L552-3-7V-6000mAH-4212078-PLIB-Polymer-lithium-ion-Li-ion-battery-LG-cell-for/32531318879.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.72184c4dxm2CGP from Aliexpress. They are perfect cause they perfectly fit the original plastic case, they are bigger in mAh and have Japan cells (best one). They in practice last longer than stock battery and they should be better overall quality. Stock batteries were duboius quality.
Now that you have batteries from Aliexpress you should connect wires from new battery with ones you have cutted (red circles ones) I used electrical tape so first battery is ok. Now you have to connect second battery. What I did is solder wires from battery to connector on the circuit board (green circles) .
Now your battery is ready! Final result is in third photo ( white circles indicates were I connected wires)

what would be the duration of the new battery? and all better? the quality is better? I also want to replace, my battery works without problems 4 hours max. I would like more time.
