Be aware that the CoreBook panel is only HD. At 13.3″ panel size, the difference between HD and 2560 x 1600 is very apparent. If Chuwi did 2560 x 1600 on the Hi9, I don’t understand why the CoreBook is not 2560 x 1600. The CoreBook has an Intel Core M3 7Y30 CPU and HD 615 GPU … far above the MTK8173 in the Hi9.
Also, the USB port being USB-C physical does not disclose the data interface…. it could be USB 2.0. My current model Zenpad 8″ has a USB-C physical port, but USB 2.0 data interface.

Not all are lucky with the Corebook, found this from a backer on indigogo
“So I sent a somewhat out-of-focus image of the backlight bleeding from my unit to the support email, and the first response I got was “Could you please send us more information for those problem?” at which point I pointed out I already sent it. Two days ago they said an engineer will look at it and respond from there, though I’m not expecting a response for another week. Here’s what I have:”
June 24, 2018 at 9:09 pm #144117First off, I’m so glad that I can get my hands on the Chuwi CoreBook , and it really impresses me. I can’t help but sharing a bit of my thoughts about this 2-in-1. Chuwi CoreBook Design Chuwi CoreBook has a sturdy and well-built body coming with an aluminum alloy enclosure. It’s very slim and super light to carry around in your bag when you are travel on the metro and still has work to do, it really comes handy.
You really sound like you work for Chuwi so this is a fake paid comment. Take with a pinch of salt people! Getting the ban hammer ready….

Doesn’t look good the bleed. So your screen is blurry, that is what you mean by out of focus? Sad to say but that might be a hardware issue.

June 25, 2018 at 4:20 pm #144167Hi
Received Chuwi Corebook today to find excessive back light bleed and the last lamination on screen already peeling at edges and around fingerprint area. Looked at net to find Chuwi, doing nothing.

I also have hard times seeing the strict QC Chuwi have talked about in the campaign, i start to belive the Chinese version of QC is more like “Quantity Concept” insted of Quality Control
Teminds me about a saying we have in DK, if a Chinese device have the CE mark, it just stands for “Chinese Export”
June 26, 2018 at 4:54 pm #144189Hmm seems like the half year of delay was just waiting for the price of ram to drop rather than having any tangible improvement.
I guess the upgrade to my surbook will never materialise anytime soon or possibly never, at least not from chuwi.
Not that i am unhappy with them thou, i have owned the hi8, hi10 plus, hi12, lapbook 14.1 and surbook over the years and while the first few were easy purchases the surbook especially took a few weeks of deliberation before i took the dive.
Chuwi and most of the chinese manufactures has gone so much upmarket that it is hard to justify purchasing them over local alternatives anymore.

How do you calculate a half year of delay, it was suposed to be released in March (No mention if it was early or late), and here in June it have been released, that is acording my calculater only 3 month
June 26, 2018 at 10:10 pm #144193Hi,
I posted because of the lack of communication from Chuwi and hoped they would take a stand and admit issues. To loose all their hard work, organically growing the company on their previous performance, it would be a shame to this shark invested sector, losing this company. Samsung, cocked up….. but they have a lot more resilience
I was involved in a tech company and have experienced various problems with manufacturing, both in the UK and China. Hopefully Chuwi ,will see this as positive critcism and realise that we all make mistakes but can’t put your head in the sand One last little diiti though. To post the manufacturing delay down to the Chinese New Year was the first shot to the foot……… as tech manufacturers in any country, you know their closing down.
If you are a developer, CEO or the FD of a company………best business is repeat business
June 29, 2018 at 9:32 am #1442315 days from sending email to Chuwi and finally getting a response, then sending pictures I receive.
