January 20, 2016 at 3:09 am #23095We first need a USB key that is formatted in FAT32, after just copy the files to the root of the key.
Please note there are 2 versions with the driver realtek wifi or not a check.
Then restart the tablet with a keyboard plugged in and press the F7 key and then select the USB key.

January 21, 2016 at 1:19 am #23186Hi, I updated to 607 and now I have a unknown device with the code 28 on intel serial IO UART controller. Windows update cannot find any suitable driver and when I set the driver in the folder UART provide buy chuwi, windows just dont find them.
My tablet is the one with black usb3 and was a win 32, updated to x64 without pb.
Any help suggestion are welcome.
Thanks

January 29, 2016 at 8:04 pm #24339Use a tool like Rufus to created a fat32 GPT bootable pen/ usb flash drive. Move all the files to the flash drive and boot to the bios and then from the save and exit menu, boot your USB drive. Let it run and it will update the bios. Flashing is risky so only do this if you have issues and make sure you have 80% or more battery life.

Currently testing: LG G8X & Redmi K30April 5, 2016 at 12:14 pm #32102Hello i have chuwi vi8 plus which can’t recognise samsung evo+ 32gb microsd hc.
Sd card works in pc, and tablet recognise older/slower 32gb.
Error appears in device manager, storage class controller driver as code 10. Didn’t find any suitable drivers, and ofc no newer bios for chuwi vi8 plus.
Tried uninstall/reinstall none works.

I’m using a 200GB micro card in my phone and I did a backup of the card using my Hi10. The card only had 80GB of data so I’m not certain that the tablet can access the full 200GB. I’ve got black/blue USBs, running the 607 BIOS.
March 29, 2017 at 3:36 pm #64210Hi guys,
I realize this thread is over a year old, but it still seems like the best place to put this because I’m facing the same issue and my chuwi Hi10 is relatively new, December 2016, so this should have been fixed by Chuwi already
I guess my main question is, how do you guy know what bios you are running? I can see no indication on mine, at least not in the format mentioned. CPU-Z doesn’t have a “motherboard” tab like someone suggested.
Bios info supplied by Windows as well as bios itself only shows:American Megatrends 5.11, E4D6_C106H, built date 7/12/2016.
I used a 64GB Samsung EVO, and at first it worked in both Android and Windows, then it stopped working in Windows and finally now it stopped working in Android as well! The weird part is I’ve tried 3 cards (8gb, 32 and 64) and none of them worked in either Windows or Android, but I don’t think it’s the slot itself. When I plug the card in it does do “something”, in windows it refreshes the devices and then displays the error for the controller, in Android it jams the entire system
Thank you , hope somebody still sees this!
