Just try to download those parts one by one.
If it’s really not going, tell me, then I’ll upload you a mirror (different download link)…

August 10, 2015 at 5:54 pm #9308Hello,
I’ve downloaded the image provided and installed it successfully. However I cannot activate Windows according to the instructions listed on the Chuwi forum. I lack contact with the KMS. Do anyone know how to get around this? Also tried going through the activate button in the control panel without success.I cannot find a good support site on chuwi which is in english..
August 10, 2015 at 6:32 pm #9310I’ve downloaded the Chuwi Hi8 Windows 10 image when it came available. It activated with the KMS procedure. It’s still activated but only till 24 september.
Does anyone have this problem too?
August 11, 2015 at 7:19 pm #9394Seriously people I would not install this image as it will never fully activate and if you’re one of the lucky ones who has managed to activate the licence you have activated will only will last 180 days as its a developers licence. Just do what I did and reinstall Windows 8.1, fully update then install windows 10 using the Windows 10 USB tool. Worked fine for me and I’m typing this on my fully activated Windows 10 Home Chuwi Hi8

I tried updating to win10 from 8.1 but the installation failed and I was stuck with a broken OS. How do I reinstall windows 8.1? Do you have a guide?
August 11, 2015 at 8:55 pm #9405Just load win10 on it

August 12, 2015 at 10:05 am #9450OK – I re-imaged the Hi8 with Windows 8.1 but when I run the windows 10 USB tool from the desktop the it asks for a Rego Key. Anyone else get this?
August 12, 2015 at 5:06 pm #9487If you are updating from an activated Windows 8 and are prompt to enter a registration key, just choose skip this step and Windows 10 will activate itself automatically later on.
August 13, 2015 at 8:12 am #9528It works great but the only problem I have is when the tablet goes into sleep mode the wifi is gone, it returns only when I restart. Has anyone find such an issue or solution, please?
August 13, 2015 at 2:01 pm #9556Hello,
I could fix it by going to: Setting -> System -> Power & Sleep -> uncheck both option under WiFi
This will prevent the tablet from syncing in Windows wile asleep, but when you wake it, it will reconnect no problem
Bests

August 14, 2015 at 11:08 pm #9726Here is how restored the win8.1 image – based on the HI8 How to Flash (Chinese) instructions.
Download HI8 Windows Image Part1 & Part 2 from TECHTablets downloads.
You need a usb hub, keyboard & 2x USB flash drives.
#1 (min 4GB) Formated as FAT32 and named WINPE
Unzip part one and place all the files and folders into the root of the flash drive#2 (min 16GB) Formatted as NTFS and named SOFTWARE
Unzip part Two and copy the ‘image’ folder onto the this flash drive.> This is where I had problems. The install script finds the \image\install.wim file but then tries to install other files it from :\image\image\ folder??
I fixed this making another copy of all the files and putting them in :\image\image\..
Maybe someone else can explain what they did here as well?Just hit ESC when you boot the Chuwi and select ‘Boot Manager’ then EFI USB device.
This will start installing the Windows 8.1 Image.
August 15, 2015 at 11:49 am #9756Hi downloaded image and updated windows 10 but the activation process given by site admin chuwi does work out. Please help
August 15, 2015 at 12:50 pm #9760The only way to install windows 10 is using the mediacreationtool and create an USB update drive, ensure your Win8.1 is activated before doing this. (you may need to change your partition sizes to give you room to install the necessary update files)
Forget the windows 10 image files – until someone comes up with a new rego key it will activate.
