i’ve nstalled a clean w10 pro after ssd replacement.
no special hints.
i’ve used this package to install drivers: https://mega.nz/#!aQYBgQrT!wFbtwEqNOJCZHz9CnqZq-SV5fVqgoheady3i5UytGT0 (execute as admin, latest cube drivers pack)
audio: http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsCheck.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=24&PFid=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false (latest realtek audio driver)
video: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/24345/Intel-Driver-Update-Utility (intel driver update utility)
What I've used and what I've got:
TECLAST X98 AIR 3G, TECLAST X98 AIR II, TECLAST X98 PRO,CHUWI HI8, CHUWI HI12, CUBE I9January 3, 2017 at 4:15 pm #59751Thanks for the hints BoORD_L, I’m going to give it a try soon.
One related question: after having installed the drivers, should I disable Windows Update to search for drivers updates? I don’t want it will apply some automatic updates that may generate a mess…
Thanks in advance for any advice.
January 4, 2017 at 2:59 am #59765it was a problem related to previous architecture (8300, chuwi in particular).
i have not disabled driver update and the system is working fine.

What did you boot from to do your install? A USB drive, what was your procedure? Boot into the setup and do a format from there?
January 4, 2017 at 8:00 am #59775The tablet comes with a legit copy of windows 10 home.
If you reinstall the system it shoud automaticly activates your OS. anyway for security reasons save your product key (search the web).
I’ve installed a legit copy of windows 10 PRO needed for my business but the procedure is the same.
1. Download the latest windows 10 64bit ISO using “Microsoft media creation tool” : https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows10
2. Launch the tool and save the ISO (don’t create directly the usb stick)
3. Download RUFUS to create a bootablet USB STICK : https://rufus.akeo.ie/
4. Select the windows ISO and then use use GPT as partition scheme. Press start and your bootable windows 10 installation program USB STICK is done
5. Reboot your system with the usb stick inserted in the usb port and during bootstrap press F8 to choose where to boot from (choose the usb stick just created)
6. Let the windows intallation program to create and format partitionsWhen it is done install the drivers https://techtablets.com/forum/topic/clean-windows-update/#post-59607

Let the windows intallation program to create and format partitions”, does this mean that all the partitions that came with the Cube i9 will be erased and I will have just one partition (128 GB minus the system hidden partition) on which windows is installed?
Thanks 🙂
January 4, 2017 at 9:27 am #59779yes.
When prompted go advance and delete all the partitions in your ssd.
Windows will recreate them (see attached images)
