Cube i7 stylus first impression

Bought my i7 stylus in the sale a few weeks ago and it arrived yesterday.

Like a lot are now saying mine also has come with a cracked version of windows 8.1 pro with kmspico.

I sent a message to the cube store saying that this was not what was advertised and i wanted a legitimate windows key and got this response:

‘the Cube i7 Stylus can be upgraded to the  windows 10,windows 10 is  a genuine version.

Extremely disappointed that cube have obviously tried to cut corners and now don’t seem willing to resolve the issue.

From what I’ve read on here windows 10 is not at all stable on these tablets yet so upgrading isn’t really the fix I was hoping for

I have a shipping confirmation from Aliexpress but nothing about the tablet and keyboard being sent separately. DHL tracking doesn’t seem to work despite me getting the shipping email 3 days ago.

TBH, if it arrives with a cracked copy of windows on it and without a keyboard I will just send it straight back for a refund. I’m not paying a Chinese company money to provide me with dodgy, cracked software. I’ll also be reporting it to Microsoft.

first impression

have it an hour

initially wouldn’t connect to my wifi tethered (as im in work) and would need a hard reboot as it jammed

eventually got it working

tried connecting to the web to install chrome, it jammed needed a hard reboot

tried a song, to test the sound, its the worst i have  ever heard on a device.

so far the worst windows device i have owned and i had a Onda tablet before.

tried windows system updates i keep getting the blue screen of death

any type of program action leads to the device jamming

swear to god if this is a defected device ill snap

mine shipped with the free case from the sale.

the seal on the box was opened when i received it.

Got the note from local post office, so will try to collect it today. Hope it’s the whole bundle keyboard included.

If I get cracked win8.1, I’ll just ask for partial refund. I have a spare win8.1 from an unfinished build that I’ll use (and upgrade to win10 if it’s stable enough on the i7 stylus).

Already looking at M.2 256Gb drive, and some replacement thermal pads. What thickness would fit best? (options are 0.5/1/1.5mm)

Has anyone found any powerbanks that can charge it?

Is there a way to add a 3g module inside? Would love that instead of tethering or 3g dongle.

I will receive mine tomorrow. It should have keyboard & pen included, Cube store seller assured me it was in the package as I asked. Will keep you updated when I receive it.

mine is definitely faulty had the blue screen now 5 times, cant do anything without it crashing

sound on this is so bad almost mono.  with two speakers its a joke.

Hello! I think, we should make something like class action about that hacked Windows. Who are going to organize that? If other buyers have at least with legal Bing version, I’d agree that.

its definitely wifi related, it can crash while connecting to the wifi or once its connected other programs jam.

on windows 8.1 it wouldnt  even pick up my wifi lol

cant leave the tablet idle as it comes unresponsive and needs a hard reboot.

it could be a faulty ssd, have a new oe en route so ill try use the tin foil option on the wifi antenna when i open it.

so far the tablet is completely useless

I don’t think there is much we can do about the cracked windows 8.1 pro. Cube are a Chinese company, and business practices there are very different to the west. Pirating windows is normal in China. Ripping off others, both individuals and other companies is common practice in China. Also, I don’t think anyone could take any legal action as in China, pirating is normal and considered business as usual. Who would take any notice?

Hi , i’m new to forum 🙂

I also ordered a Cube i7 stylus when it sale on Aliexpress and now it has been despatched to overseas yesterday, so hopefully i can receive it soon 🙂

I really want to have a good tablet but i am now very frustrated as i see a lot of negative feedback about this everywhere (in this forum and also in xda)

I am satisfied if my device is not genuine (atleast for 299$) but i think i will ask for refund if i got some big problems such as : hot temperature, wifi , blue screen… like other people.

I just would like to ask if there are anyone here satisfied with Cube i7 stylus and got no problems when using it , please let me know 🙁
