I contacted cube:s official aliexpress shop and they said that they cant be sure the i7 stylus will be able to upgrade to windows 10. What do you guys think, is it worth a shot?
July 18, 2015 at 10:00 am #7123Wtf? How is it possible? Which reasons did they give?

This is the reply I got:
Hi dear
We can’t confirm if it can upgrade to windows 10 at present.Because it is a newest product.
Sorry for this
Best regards
MichelleJuly 18, 2015 at 2:33 pm #7132Yes, you can update to Windows 10. I have the Windows 10 icon and upgrade thing in my taskbar. As long as your key is valid (Geekbuying.com buyers might have issues) run Windows update and you’ll get this:

Hi all,
firstly let me thanks to @Chris and techtablet.com for cost saving tip : http://techtablets.com/2015/07/cube-i7-stylus-sale-on-the-23rd-a-core-m-tablet-for-only-299/
I’m going to try to hunt one ore two pieces (: And also try to test with this “low cost” Wacom digitizer pen:
Does anybody try to boot Windows 10 Insider Preview (Windows To Go) from external drive? What about system drivers? I’m really sceptical that any “official” update will come from Cube (but probably no any driver update is necessary?).
Thanks
July 18, 2015 at 4:45 pm #7144I’ll be trying Windows 10 on the i7 Stylus soon, I’m an insider and had the insider preview image on my Chuwi Vi10, so don’t see why this one would be a problem. The drivers I have uploaded and will work fine.

Thanks, I will keep that in mind there could be driver issues. I was planning on upgrading and not a fresh install which I think would go a bit smoother.

Currently testing: LG G8X & Redmi K30July 20, 2015 at 5:24 am #7212I’m curious if I could put a glass screen protector on the i7 Stylus and how will that impact the stylus operation?
Is there an official one or something the size that fits this screen?
July 20, 2015 at 10:01 am #7222I just received the Cube i7 Stylus keyboard from Geekbuying… But they sent me the wrong one!! They sent me the normal Cube i7 keyboard… Too bad… First the pirated Windows and now this… 🙁
July 20, 2015 at 10:06 am #7223Micro SD card question.
Hi there,
I am thinking about buying the i7 Stylus, I am however concerned about the Micro SD card slot. On the “big” i7 (no Stylus) the Micro SD cards were limited to 32 GB. For the i7 Stylus the shops also write “Micro SD card up to 32GB”. I would like to know if someone has someone has tried with bigger Micro SD cards (ideally 128 GB). I have a quite fast 128 GB card which I would like to use with the tablet. 🙂 What speed can be expected?
Many thanks in advance and best wishes,
Christian
July 20, 2015 at 10:17 am #7224I’m using a Samsung EVO 128 GB microSD card on the Cube i7 Stylus and works fine 😉

Forgot to answer you on this, Yes you can boot from an external GPT partitioned drive. I use ISO2DISK for this using the an ISO image it will make a bootable drive for you.
I’m curious if I could put a glass screen protector on the i7 Stylus and how will that impact the stylus operation? Is there an official one or something the size that fits this screen?
I’m not 100% sure but I think the thicker glass protector would cause some issues with the pens pressure sensitivity? No official one I can see, but generic 10.6-inch ones should fit.

What about the speed of the card reader? Is it reasonably fast?
Best wishes,
Christian
July 20, 2015 at 4:14 pm #7284Not really, it’s not fast like my Surface Pro 3’s. But limited to around 30mbs reads, 23 writes. (the SP3 does 80mbs with the same card). My benchmark of the MicroSd port is here in the full review which is now online, http://techtablets.com/cube-i7-stylus/review/
