Hate to say it but looks like a hardware issue to me too. Seem similar thing on TV’s in the past. Think you will have to return it, I bought mine from them too and they seemed quite helpful when I had a problem. If you can live with it you may be able to negotiate a partial refund, again something I have done numerous times.
May 25, 2016 at 3:02 pm #38571Hi,
They’ve asked me to open the unit, to see if I can fix it. (If I can’t they’ve agreed to replace / repair)
I’ve opened Cube i9 but I’m unable to see which cable goes to the screen, does anyone have a photo they could send me showing the cable so I can check it?
Thanks
Peter

How did you go with the screen and/or replacement?
July 14, 2016 at 12:13 pm #43469Hi Jono,
I’m currently in dispute with the supplier, they are refusing to pay the China customs charges for me sending the faulty item back.
Aliexpress have confirmed that they are liable for the charges and the seller has been told to pay the charges so it can be delivered to them for repair / replace.
The seller is http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Pre-sale-Original-Cube-i9-12-2inch-2-in-1-Windows-10-Tablet-PC-Core-M/32597748825.html
I would never deal with them again, I’ve bought tablets from others and they have resolved every issue I’ve had, but this seller is extremely difficult to deal with and doesn’t comply with Aliexpress rules.
The seller suggested that I send the Cube i9 back by post with no insurance!! so that no custom charges would be applied. This would have taken 2 months and the item could easily go missing, which is no joke for something worth $400-500
My recommendation is not to buy anything from http://socube.aliexpress.com/store/1123249?spm=2114.10010108.0.33.Cxc9w8

July 15, 2016 at 1:16 am #43519Hi Peter
<span style=”line-height: 1.5;”>Wow, that’s disappointing to hear. I thought they were one of the more “trusted” suppliers. </span>
I won’t be getting the keyboard off them then…
I recently acquired an i9 with a similar issue, the person who bought it wasn’t willing to deal with the supplier for a return and ended up selling to me for about 60% of replacement cost. Only difference is my line is to the far left of the screen and cannot be seen when task bar is placed on the left vertical side. As it’s a muck about tablet I am willing to put up with it.
Hope they come through for you. Eventually…
