I am having the same problem with boot looping. The suggested procedure for hard reset does not work. Anyone HELP.
June 5, 2017 at 5:01 am #67785I did the update procedure and was working fine doing the latest update but then I did the 16212 and that was it It caught me by surprise and I think this had bricked the device. I don’t know whether there is a way out of it. I hope there is but I but I’m not holding my breath

So, let me get this straight. Nevil, Charles, and anyone else who did the interoptools fix, did the latest update really brick your phones and have you gotten them to work? or No? I just received a stock Cube WP10 out of the box and I will not edit the registry at all if you confirm that the latest update will destroy the phone. Someone please confirm.
And about Netflix failing, I think this happens because this a Chinese market phone, because its for China DRM/Protected media is blocked for the most part.

Did you ever figure out how to get you device back to a functioning state?

That is unfortunate. I updated my phone using the interoptools method, but only as high as 10.0.15063.483 I think that’s the latest stable release this phone will handle. I hope you can get your device to work.

I can answer this about Netflix, out of the box with the original software, Netflix does not run. After updating the Cube (using Interoptools method) Netflix still doesn’t work. It doesn’t work either way. I am curious to find a work around for this problem.
Not being able to stream Netflix defeats the purpose of this device.
August 31, 2017 at 3:48 am #71213Windows update 16212 put my cube into a boot loop. I finally got Gearbest to respond and they offered a solution by referring me to: https://pan.baidu.com/s/1bplIsnP. I downloaded a file but could not use it because everything was in Chinese. Can anyone use that link and possibly get it to work.
October 4, 2017 at 9:31 pm #73005I bought a WP10 a few days ago and successfully updated it to the latest version with no problems or bricking. It has been stable for 3 days now.
It is showing OS build 10.0.14393.1066.
I used the latest TH2 version of the interop tools here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=73608163&postcount=1006
I found these to be useful resources in case anything went wrong:

https://forum.xda-developers.com/windows-10-mobile/stock-fw-cube-wp10-t698-stock-firmware-t3656755
The last one contains links to forum posts (in Chinese, so view in Chrome so automatically translated) desrcibing how to revert back to WP10’s installed firmware. Useful as a last resort.
Am loving the WP10 – it is a great bit of kit. Just need to sort Netflix and the screen offset now!
Hope the above helps someone.

August 21, 2018 at 6:18 pm #145722I recently bought this phablet. All and all, i think it’s a nice device. I got windows updated to the August 2018 update, all working well.
but non of the protected content can be played. Netflix, Hbo, and more like those services just wont work. Anthat makes me very sad. I cant beleive that more than a year before this post, nobody found a possible sollution yet. Isnt there some registry hack or something we can try?
