    I don’t own one but quite possibly. Test it out – download Throttlestop or Intel XTU and monitor the temperatures. While you have either of those you can also undervolt the CPU to decrease the temperatures and lower power comsumption (very easy and basically risk-free if you do it correctly).

    it should comes with nvidia optimus which will allow you to switch to the iGPU almost entirely.

    i believe the thermal issues is only encountered when the user is using both the cpu and gpu at the same time since they share the same heatpipe, with just the cpu you are likely to hit power limit way before the heat becomes an issue.

    Hi, yes and no (Only if the system was to use the dGPU). I did test this a while ago but on the 940Mx model. You can’t bios disable it, but what I did was disabled it in the device manager and reboot. Then it wasn’t ever in use. Not that you need to do this, as the Nvidia settings allows you to force to the iGPU use at all times.
