I’m looking for cheap “generic” tempered glass for iWork 10
“Original” at least 10 USD , I checked many “brand 10.1” tablets, but the screen size are different. I found te LG Gpad 10.1 V700 has almost same size (Lg a bit smaller) Tempered glass for LG is about 5 USD (half price)
Do you know better one?
June 19, 2016 at 7:41 pm #41486Hi dlink, did you first peel off the preinstalled plastic film before installing the glass? I also ordered already and hope it fits better then..
@taddosch Of course I peel off the plastic film first, it has so many dust behind it to begin with, which is the main reason why I buy the tempered glass. If you buy the correct one for this tablet it will fit perfectly. Just make sure it is 100% clean from dust before installing it because it is so HARD to remove it, since it stick so well (the original screen doesn’t have any oleophobic layer, so the glue stick 100%, unlike phone screen, and it is not glass screen, it is hard plastic).

I wonder how dust comes between plastic film and display.. We are both speaking about the SECOND preinstalled plastic film, not the first one with the logo etc. which is for protection during transportation, right?
What meant was the better fitting to the keyboard docking when we peel off any film from the display to get a little more space.

Can I assume you are from Singapore, South Korea or Japan?
In this case, some Chinese manufacturer got OP’s money and they never expect OP buying again,
Just slick businessmen who don’t give a shit. Not retarded I’d say?
January 30, 2017 at 12:13 am #61213I have had the Cube with keyboard and a tempered glass screen protector for a few months. I did not get the protector directly from Cube or China but from Ebay or Amazon (dont remember which). It is near perfect in every respect, excellent fit, easyish to apply and the minor bubbles had all gone by the following day. I have had no problems with docking or closing as described by some others. It cost around 10 GB pounds, which is more than the plastic ones which I have never been able to fit properly, not being very dexterous. I would suggest not getting one from Cube but search on Ebay / Amazon.
As regards the Cube Tablet PC I am again very satisfied, as there has been nothing major wrong with it except for the running battles with Windows Ten (Anniversary) and updates (again, nothing too bad or hard for a none tech to correct). I think this is probably luck as experiences vary widely, and time and usage may reveal more issues. I find the dual boot with the Android option worthwhile — if necessary I can switch to Android until the Windows problem has been sorted. Reviews of the Cube 10.1 Ultimate have been quite favourable.
