Did you pay by Debit card or Credit card ? If credit card you might have insurance – check your card details.
August 27, 2016 at 12:35 pm #48157That’s bad luck, but I’m just as bad will all my devices and clutter I have broken 3 screen within 5 weeks. Mostly charging tablets and snagging the cables dragging tablets off the table and crashing onto the floor.
My lost one I dropped a tripod on filming the last scene for my Vi10 Plus review. I had to complete the review using a screen capture card.
Not happy, screens can be replaced and that is the part you need for your i7 book. It’s not as easy to remove. Bits of glass go everywhere, blow them off the IPS panel and then you have to stick the new screen on. Make sure the ribbons are pushed through the gaps like the original screen. TOuch and IPS ribbons.
Best of luck, I hope you fix it as good as new.

August 28, 2016 at 4:56 am #48266Hey guys thank you for your responses. Paul, i wish… banks here would laugh you out. Thanks Chris, if I hadn’t been researching your reviews and waiting for a year & a half, it wouldn’t have bothered me so much.
Ahrlad, you’re a God send. I live Dubai.. What do you think?
Thanks again.

August 29, 2016 at 10:35 am #48359I’m in Sweden, Europe. Looks like postage would be about $25, I’d probably want about $65-70 including shipping to send it (since I have use for it as a spare part for my i7 book) – let me know what you think sounds reasonable. I could throw in a stylus as well if you don’t have one already, since I have one left from my old tablet.
I will take a couple pictures of the display so you can compare it and make absolutely certain it’s the same connectors and stuff.
August 29, 2016 at 10:56 am #48362I found this info about replacing the digitizer: http://techtablets.com/forum/topic/help-cube-i7-stylus/
So the display isn’t laminated, that’s cool. You should try to tear down the tablet and separate the touch screen from the LCD – if you succeed in that, and if it’s simple enough to do, you could buy the digitizer panel for cheap and replace it. If you screw up or if the LCD is broken, you could get the full assembly from me.
August 29, 2016 at 11:38 am #48379Bless you ahrlad. Much appreciated. Gonna take it to a professional to open it and check if it’s just the digitizer. Thanks again
