Frequency B would be for dual channel or the other DIMM. Single it’s only running the 1 DIMM soldered to the motherboard only Frequency A should be changed.

No issues here after changing.
May 9, 2016 at 2:02 pm #36535I set my Hi12 dual OS memory to 1600 MHz
Antutu score was 57000 changed to 63000
about 10% Antutu boost in performance 🙂
May 11, 2016 at 1:36 am #36757Hello.
I’m trying to figure out the memory speed of my Windows 10 only Hi12. In the attached picture, I discovered the frequency at 799.7 Mhz. This is mind blowing as I see others at 1066 or 1600 Mhz.
My BIOS only shows a Southbridge and no option to change anything.
How the hell can I change this?

May 11, 2016 at 3:47 am #36773Look at previous post attached snapshot.
Anyway frequency reported indicates tablet ram is working at 1600 as supposed to be (800×2).

800Mhz is normal, that means 1600Mhz as BoORD_L has pointed out.

I don’t know why it shows 3GB as I didn’t do anything. As a matter of fact, the BIOS doesn’t have a north bridge!
This is weird and disappointing! I’m assuming I can’t change the RAM as it may be soldered, right? I sent an email to the Chinese vendor I got my Chuwi from.
This is a picture of my system, and in it you can see that it states the only 2.93 of RAM is usable. Can you check and post yours?

Currently testing: LG G8X & Redmi K30May 13, 2016 at 1:05 am #37067Chris G, I did a little research and found a fix. Now my Hi12 has all the RAM. Still, you’re correct. 1GB is dedicated to the graphics. Here are some pictures.

May 13, 2016 at 10:37 pm #37220Michael, Sure! 🙂
You need to Run msconfig and under the Boot tab, click advanced Options. Then remove the Maximum Memory check mark and restart the tablet!
June 3, 2016 at 6:23 am #39674hi everyone
So i have changed my ram and ram speed back to 1066 and normal (instead of 1600 and fast).
Does anyone feel any significant difference? heat, speed, responsiveness? I think i actually feel its pretty much the same except that it gets hotter at 1600/fast.
Just wanted to poll what your experience is with the different settings.
June 3, 2016 at 9:52 am #39687Hi Ben, it only really gains about 10% in benchmarks. But eats up a little more battery life too. In real-world use, it’s very hard to tell. I do think it feels a little faster at gaming in Android. Clash of Clans is a bit smoother for me at 1600mhz Vs 1066Mhz.
