    Hi there,

I recommend HWiNFO to check system information, you can download the software here.

It will tell you about the power limit.

Chris’ very handy video shows you how to clone the OS on to an M.2 SSD from the eMMC amongst other useful tweaks here.

I recommend a clean install of Windows 10. You can find the EZBook 3 Pro drivers here.

Hello there from southern Europe, just received my EzBook 3 Pro after 74 days waiting (snow storm Gearbest said). Version (V4.5? V5?) with Sandisk SDW64G, Print-screen button and castrated Bios. and I don’t feel keyboard issues for now. Seq R176/W78 Q8T8 R47/W14 Q32T1 R51/W16 Q1T1 R8/W12 as per Disk Mark I would have now 2 questions as I’m a super noob (I had never entered the Bios before), I read tons of existing topics but there are concepts I’m too ingnorant to get in full: 1) how can I find out the current power limit setting? I’m not planning to overclock but I’d just like to make sure my system is not really choked up. 2) As I’m planning to install a M.2 SSD (thinking of Transcend 128GB), where I’d like to have Windows installed and boot from there, could you please guide me through a step by step procedure (for dumb assess, really) in order to achieve that? Thanks a lot!!

I also have the ezbook with sandisk emmc and… It’s a pain. He works very good, it’s all OK except for the ssd. I’m trying to install windows in the ssd or clone it but it’s impossible. There is always some error (1117 or I/O device error…). I tryed with minitool partition wizard and reflect 7 (Chris used it in one video), but nothing works. I hope you’ll be luckier.

In Fact, I had already followed Chris’ tutorial a few times but having the downgraded Bios in my V5 EZB3PRO, I was wondering if it should work in the same way (different Bios options).

Actually Mehtevas is right, this version runs quite smooth as it is, but still, I want the boot from windows on the SSD.

I have the newer version with scandsk and these are my speeds below for the emmc and ssd,not to bad compared to others I seen. I just cloned over windows onto an SSD and all went fine. Except I needed to extend the partition using a third party program .

Thanks for sharing your experience John.

Just to be 100% sure: is your version the one with shrunk Bios? No advanced / No chipset settings available?

Is your Sandisk eMMC the SDW64G or the DF4064?

    Thx!

Do you have the minimal Bios as well?

I’d like to do the “clean” install, problem is that I have no clue on how to do it!

I think I’ll be happy enough to move my existing Windows 10 on the SSD and boot from there.

If the majority of you guys succeeded, I guess I’ll also go with it.

Note that to me, the laptop is already quick enough for my use but as a second step I may consider power limitation removal…

Hello everyone I’m Marco I received my ezbook 3 pro on 4/1/17 and I think it is a v4.5, emmc sandisk SDW64G and the bios blocked.
The windows folder seems to me too big, around 31 Gb. How much space does your windows installation take?
For the rest I feel very comfortable with the ultrabook
    Have a nice day

Second post, this topic: Liam posted a link for the drivers.

Marco, whether you’ll do the clean installation, maybe you can guide me over the process once you’re done?
