what do you ask here? It is new, it is dying, ask your dealer for a replacement and file a claim.
You see that Jumper now mostly produces crap, so act accordingly and I have written tons of information about the Jumper batteries, just read it.
Need Help?
1981 soldered my first Sinclair computer 1K, tapedeck * 1984 build and sold IBM clones 8Mhz, 512K, 20MB HDD * 2018 messing with ultrabooksJune 10, 2018 at 8:50 am #143754I confirm exactly the same problem at my EZBook 3 Pro v7.
Working about 1 hour till 50% and then shutdown. And the same high pitch sound when the charger is plugged or the screen brightness changed to low.
Currently I did the following but NOTHING still had helped:
- unlocked BIOS and tried changing different stuff related to battery
- fully discharged and charged the battery under both Windows or BIOS
- opened the hood (NOTE: warranty mark destroyed) and unplugged/plugged the battery
- installed Linux to SSD (M.2 128 Gb) and tried various tools there (upower shows reasonable data: capacity is 3800mA * 7.6V, consumption is 8-12W, so about 3-4 hours to run from 100% to 0% which is expected)
So if anyone solve this problem, please share the solution. BTW, if this is due to a battery issue then where I can buy the spare battery and how to replace it?

Insist to Geekbuying that you want to send it back to Germany. They will relent in the end and send you the address like they did for me. Send it back and get your money back. Like Chupa has said these cheap laptops are just not worth the hassle. I’m glad I sent mine back to Germany and got a refund before using it. I did charge it up for 30 minutes just to test the screen and the charger and battery were so hot that I am in no doubt if I had kept it the battery would have expanded. I think the chargers are faulty. Even though I sent it back to the German address provided (tracked and signed for) I had to resort to Paypal to get some sort of response from Geekbuying as they would not refund me. I won’t be using Geekbuying again I can tell you.
June 21, 2018 at 8:17 am #144044I’m currently trying to get my Ezbook pro 3 replaced with Gearbest but they are being total assholes. Takes 24 hours per response and they have offered a replacement which I have to partially pay the shipping for (despite their warranty stating that shipping is reimbursed, when push comes to shove they only reimburse partially).
They also offered that I pay $200 and they’ll send me a replacement (LOL WTF?) or I can keep this one and simply take a small refund (no, I want a non-faulty unit you dumbfucks!).
Absolute pain in the ass and totally unprofessional.
June 21, 2018 at 3:40 pm #144058I know it’s a nightmare mate. It’s a lesson learned for me. Mental note to myself – only use these guys for £10 bluetooth headphones and stuff like that. Everything else I’m sticking to my own country from now on.
