My ezbook doesn’t see SSD at all in bios, its Samsung 128gb 2280 stick… But in windows it shows and works.
October 31, 2017 at 5:34 pm #74194So you have any idea what to do to fix that?
November 1, 2017 at 4:32 am #74237My idea is to keep windows boot manager on emmc, make the manager boot from ssd and then emmc windows partition can be formatted. Of course windows must cloned to ssd first. But dont know how to make ssd visible in bios…
Edit: Boot manager wont see the SSD if BIOS dont see it either. So that’s it. Damn I’m pissed. Sold my V1 and bought V4 so I can use my already bought SSD and now this…
November 1, 2017 at 4:48 pm #74253Hiya, i also have the KingSpec m.2 ssd 128gb and i got it to work by first installing windows onto the emmc. Then I used minitool utility to clone the os from the emmc onto the ssd in windows. The ssd should keep the partions to the same size rather than scaling. Partion the rest of the ssd. The partition with the os should show up as a second drive on the device manager once you’re done. After all this was done i shut down the laptop and pressed f7 as it was booting. The ssd showed up as a boot option. I then went into bios and changed the boot order. Once i had booted from the ssd i then formatted the emmc so that can be used as storage.
Minitool utility was the easiest for me to use as it has a migrate os tool but you can use whatever you’re comfortable with.
Hope this works for you!

How’s your keyboard?
November 18, 2017 at 11:49 am #74986If your BIOS recognizes the SSD the easiest way is the method Chris used in his video – using Macrium Reflect Free to clone the working/booting Windows config (the whole drive including all partitions) from the eMMC to the SSD. Then you can change the boot choice in the BIOS setting. If your BIOS does not recogize the SSD I have no ideas.
