The only way is to unplug the battery and then wait for however long (We don’t know) it needs to lose all residual charge. But normally the boot holding or tapping Esc key is a manual bios reset on the Apollo Lake tech.

Ordered and waiting for my: BMAX S15 & Teclast F6 Plus
Currently testing: LG G8X & Redmi K30July 28, 2018 at 11:56 pm #144879sometimes tech behaves just wierd , sometimes banging it on the table helps, sometimes hammering with your fingers on the keyboard fixes crazy keys, sometimes extreme flexing the screen (not braking it) fixes a wierd flicker or line on the screen and sometimes you just take a hammer and smash the piece of crap – believe me after days of screwing with you it is a very therapeutic way of getting rid of a problem.
over 30 years working with these buggers learned me to be patient and persistent and try another day and another day. But after that you either take it apart for spares or beat the crap out of it.
if the screen is broken you can always use it for a mediacenter pc

What I remember is the last thing I did before it died was “hibernate” from within Manjaro XFCE (linux). So maybe there is some strange problem with how this is implemented with the BIOS or NVRAM or something in my particular notebook. I assume some other people using Linux do not have a problem with hibernate?
As you know, they seem to change this machine, the parts, or BIOS, every month.
I had done many times before “suspend” with no problem, but not “hibernate”. So for sure I will never try hibernate again.
Yes, will be a mediacenter or backup machine but it sucks because I bought this to be a cheap linux notebook for travel.
Probably my next will be a cheap Lenovo – something that has a support forum and parts are inexpensive and easy to find.July 31, 2018 at 5:56 pm #144951wise choice, i went the same route with the Thomson (2 years warranty and bring to shop if problem)
Over the lifetime of a brand pc you will need 2-3 cheap Chinese pc because just a little part malefunctions and there is no replacement.
You can get lucky and save a bit or play it safe and pay a bit ore or buy for the same price a used brand pc.
I never got myself a cheap Chinese phone
I got used Samsung flagships when they were 2 or 3 years old
still have a s5 and 2 note 3 all with 4k video and usb3 port also battery easy to change.
the batteries are still original and still last a day or moreNeed Help?

Pretty sure I did that and it didn’t help. I tried EVERYTHING. I’m guessing there is a tiny battery somewhere on the circuit board that supplies the BIOS/NVRAM.
And that eventually went dead after months of no use. It’s the only logical thing I can think of how/why it came back to life.November 23, 2018 at 2:21 am #148382Chris’ method of disconnecting battery, reconnecting after a few minutes (battery was full) and tap Esc while booting worked to revive my dead Ezbook. I hope Chris’ method helps others too.
December 31, 2018 at 2:31 pm #149671I encountered this blank screen issue 3 days after I bought this laptop. I disconnected the battery for 10 mins and then the screen became normal again.
I reset the bios back to default and it seems running fine after.

Help meeee
YEPO is identical to Jumper EZBook 3 Pro
June 18, 2019 at 8:10 am #175041I think it is better to replace the battery again. In the long run, such switching machines are particularly damaging to computers. after all. Changing a battery is cheaper than changing a computer. What do you think? This is what I think I can help you.
January 28, 2022 at 1:03 pm #222379I’m pretty sure that all jumper products don’t last any longer. And as for my laptop, it died at the worst time possible because it was the time when my cat died, and I had to choose one of the pet cremation urns for her, and then I also had to spend money on the repair of my laptop. Definitely one of the worst periods of my life.
April 21, 2022 at 2:20 pm #222668The screen on my sister’s died after four years use. I took it to my local pc repair shop to check it out. The pc is fine and working via external display but the screen itself is broken. They removed it with difficulty as it was heat welded in. They accidentally broke a ‘u’ shaped bracket on the screen meaning it needs a total replacement now anyway. They searched for a replacement part but the numbers written internally on the screen are completely unknown. So if anyone has an old broken one in UK do let me know!
