1981 soldered my first Sinclair computer 1K, tapedeck * 1984 build and sold IBM clones 8Mhz, 512K, 20MB HDD * 2018 messing with ultrabooksApril 25, 2018 at 6:31 am #142293I am experiencing the same problem btw. I got my laptop in late February (v6). After a month, the WiFi adapter disappeared as described above.
WiFi stick does solve the problem though both USB ports are occupied now (mouse + WiFi). Not good at all

if China crap gives you trouble the China fortune cookie tell you buy more China crap.
how a bout a mini 180 degree flipable 1 to 3 usb2 ports
and how about a 1 to 3 usb 3 ports with an ethernet connection thrown in. (Sadly a bit fat with 16mm)
For my ultrabooks there will be a 10 mm thick usb3 1 to 4 installed via velcro on the side as shown.I also use a switchable version with 4 different OS, just like in Harry Potter: click and switch… and boooot
So with 6 usb ports you should be good
If you need more there are also small 8 port switchable, so that would make 16 USB ports – and as long as you only have one external 2.5″ hdd hanging on you still be fine. Otherwise add a power adapter the the hub.Attachments:

April 28, 2021 at 11:20 am #221515Hi,
Has anybody got a working driver for this laptop. I lost mined in a BSOD during early windows 10 upgrade. Had to reformat all drives and clean install. Since then I can not get the internal wifi to work.
Tried all ways to get Intel drivers to load but they always show an error in device manager.
I am using a Realtek wifi dongle but would like the internal wifi to be working too.
Any help much appreciated
PS
I had to manually install the device as Windows actually doesnt find it at all.
