Curious if anyone has had a similar issue and any suggestions.  Just received my EZBook Pro 3 today with the limited / locked down BIOS and I’ve submitted a support ticket immediately to Gear Best – not fun!

It does not appear to be charging properly – not sure if this is a major issue, power adapter issue or something else. When first received, I plugged in and charged for 24 hours, a green light was on the charger brick and red light was on right side of laptop – all appeared to be working. I turned on, laptop indicates the battery is low and did not appear to be charged.  Now that laptop is on, power adapter connected – it does not seem to be taking the charge.  Windows indicates it is charging and stays at a constant 5% / 4 hours 26 minutes to a full charge. I started charging with laptop powered on and did not use the system, several hours later – no change. The battery does not appear to be accepting a charge when powered on or off.

    Any suggestions?

As an update – I purchased a new power adapter, one that was recommended in other posts.  Same result.  The laptop appears to be taking a charge, windows indicate in the tray it is charging, but it never moves past the same amount 5%!

Any other suggestions?  I’m assuming its a BIOS or battery issue.

In my most recent ticket to Gearbest I requested they provide an RMA to return as it is still within their 7 day window.  I’m not looking forward to this process and what I’ll need to do to return from the US to China.
